Kaz is a treasure. I grew up in an architect and real estate family and was very familiar with construction. We had just fired a fancy guy who was on HGTV because he wasn't up to my high standards and were stuck. Friends in the construction business used Kaz for their projects and were very happy with him. So when someone in the business swears by them, you give a lot of credence. At first I was not sure what to make of him when I first laid eyes on him. But within two minutes of him looking at a landscape architects fancy computer drawings he declared they were wrong and the angles were off. I never imagined that could be true, so we measured together onsite and he was right! Our previous fancy HGTV contractor, had never caught any of these mistakes. Kaz did! I have nothing but praise for his precision and attention to details. Our project gets so many compliments and requests for his contact information. The level of service was outstanding. He is a big gentle giant. I was taken personally to pick all the stone work and rocks. A rock was too big to fit into our plan at the construction yard, so he got staff to split it for me and it was added it to the pile. Days later while looking at the project take shape, I remarked that I wish I had picked another huge rock to go in a different spot, when he said he could move it for me if that is what I wanted, I was flabbergasted. He was so easy to work with, accommodating and trustworthy. At one point the stone yard had shorted our order and he was able to secure more in Kingston and had them on the property! The stone yard wasn't willing to give us that level of service and commitment but Kaz did. He worked with what we had given him on computer printed landscape blueprints and he had improved the design. I was not sure initially, when he took out a blank sheet of paper and drew free hand. But I soon learned he was an artisan in the rough. He wasn't some fancy slick salesman just quoting a job but the real deal who actually got his hands dirty and worked with his whole heart on the job. I felt like I was his only client and got expert advice about plants and trees and he hired him for all the greenscaping as well. And we got into an exclusive nursery instead of the big box run of the mill standard selection. We ended up with exquisite trees and plants thanks to his advice. Over the years we have brought him back for other projects. We told him he can't retire as we need him to finish the sides and back of our property. I grew up in construction and there is no one I trust more than Kaz to work on our property. We feel so fortunate to have found him.
