During my home inspection, it was discovered that the addition attic contained what was believed to be asbestos. Not wanting to send samples to a lab and then wait for the results, I decided to just go ahead with the abatement. I contacted Sean and he sent out a crew. They set up quickly and did their thing. I was very pleased with how quick, thorough and professional they were to deal with. I received a clean air certificate shortly afterwards to ensure that there were no particles remaining. Khans Corp left the job site neat and tidy, and they even came back to repair the lawn, where one of their truck tires had dug in the grass a bit.

October 2022, Dan from Ottawa Valley Spray Foam came out with a helper and they spray foamed a 12 x 12 vaulted ceilings room. The job was quoted on a price per square foot basis. In December, my electrician discovered that there was a gap along the whole roofline that was missed. I messaged the company and was told the owner would be notified. After not hearing back, I messaged again and was told that the owner would get back to me shortly. This went on a few more times until finally the owner Dan messaged me to say that he was dealing with personal issues and that *if* he were to return to complete the job, he would charge me more. His excuse for the extra charges was that it took 2 months for me to notice his mistake, and that there was a walk through after he completed the job and everyone seemed happy. The area missed is included in the square footage that was paid for, though, and there was no final inspection walk through, as he had informed me that the spray foam he uses is a carcinogen until it dries completely and the smell is gone. If there had been a walk through, I would have asked him to scrape down the foam overspray all over the walls, main wood beam etc. Im still dealing with that mess. The ceiling area that Dan missed now allows all the heat in the room to rise up and escape through the roof, and the snow directly above it quickly melts, causing ice build up. I gave Dan the opportunity to fix his mistake, and instead of an apology and a quick visit to finish the job he was paid for, he blocked me from being able to message him. This is not the action of a professional adult, its something Id expect from a belligerent teenager. This is a big investment in your home comfort, and its not worth taking a chance on this company that does not stand behind their work.

I contacted Kovar Roofing to remove a leaking oil furnace vent, patch up the hole left behind, and a full repair of another section of my metal roof. They came out to inspect the job, took notes and an estimate was emailed to me shortly afterwards. Although it took a while to schedule the repair, the job was completed as promised. This is a company that stands by its work, and every single person Ive dealt with is professional, and polite. The metal roof patch is a close match to the original and is barely noticeable.
