My wife and I just bought a condo in Milton with the intentions of upgrading the floors in addition to other home improvements. A friend and colleague of mine recommended Speers as he had hardwood floors installed in his entire house a few years back. He was very pleased with the work Speers had done for him. Our experience was very good with them also. Chris, our flooring consultant, and Dino (manager) were super helpful and managed our project from start to end, they made it very easy for us! Chris answered all of our questions, let us have samples of various floor styles and colours. Chris was very pleasant to deal with in general, and when an issue came up, he dealt with it very professionally and promptly without issue. The flooring crew was also excellent, very prompt and they swiftly completed the work ahead of the estimated schedule. The work was very well crafted and clean. The shoe moldings also came out nice; very clean. There was a small issue post install where one of the doors started to bind on the joiner piece under the door about a week after the install was completed. This was likely due to a tight tolerance under the door and shifting/expansion inside the condo due to the change in spring weather. Regardless, after a quick email to Chris, the installer showed up the next day and trimmed our door to fix the issue. The problem was solved promptly and without issue. The installer and his team were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with also. We are very pleased with our new floors and would recommend Speers to anyone looking for new flooring.

My wife and I just bought a condo with the intentions of renovating it. Part of our vision was upgrading the lighting as it was all original from the builder and out of date. We wanted custom lighting to be installed throughout, including pot lights, many new dimmers and switches and many new custom wiring changes. We found Lorion Electric Inc. via the Home Stars web site due to their high reviews. We had reached out to a few other Electricians to get quotes as well but found that they were either slow to respond or didn't even bother to correspond at all! Dan responded promptly and was helpful even in his initial correspondence. Dan and his crew for this job, (Ryan, Jackson and Mike) worked very efficiently and answered all our questions and concerns professionally. Dan kept me informed throughout the process and was very transparent with all details of the work as it was in progress. Originally the scope of work seemed like it would be relatively straight forward for them however as it was in progress, we discovered that the job would be more difficult and time consuming - Dan and his crew solved each problem without a hiccup and were very accommodating. As an example, we had bought a very large dining light fixture that needed a custom install; the original mounting point in the ceiling was not centered in the correct place. Dan solved this issue in a clever way by modifying the fixtures' mounting plate to offset the light from the mounting point in the ceiling. This kept our ceiling in good condition as we didn't have to move the original electrical box and add a new hole in the ceiling to place it. It worked like a charm and now we have a perfectly placed fixture over our new table! We were very pleased with this. The entire experience was very smooth for my wife and I. I couldn't be happier with the results and was very pleased to have met Dan and his crew. I would definitely recommend Lorion Electric to anyone, and they will be my go to for any electrical needs I have in the future.
