I typically do not write reviews on companies. However, I had to submit a review for Clarke Basement Systems. Simply put, they are a professionally-run business who, in my opinion, values customer service, communication, and commitment. Their customer-facing processes are incredible. I had no surprises throughout the entire process. They committed to coming at a specific time. They phoned the day before to confirm. An hour before the visit, the technician called to confirm. When on site, the technician explained very clearly what was going to happen, and how long it was going to take. Everything went smoothly. My basement was left very clean. The next day, I received a call from the customer service group to see how the job went. I advised them that the job went very well. But part of my exterior parging came off and I wasn't sure if it was due to internal vibration when my basement repairs were being done. The individual asked me to send a picture and would get back to me in 2 hours. Within 2 hours, I received a call. She stated that their team reviewed the pictures and believe the parging came off for some reason other than the work they performed. However, they were nearby my house and would repair it for free. Something came up, and the technician could not come at the committed time but I was advised he would be coming the following day. Sure enough, he did and the parging was repaired. So to summarize, Clarke Basement Systems does a great job, and leaves you with no surprises. I have already referred them to friends in my area. Thanks

My wife and I have a long standing relationship with Bert. Prior to this current job, Bert finished the basement of our previous house. At that time, we got three quotes with Bert being the lowest. This initially had us wondering. So we went and visited site references and, as a result, we were confident enough to engage Bert. When we reviewed our thoughts and perceived needs for this basement with Bert, he was really good at guiding us down the proper path, with the end result being a much smaller scope. In the end, we were extremely happy with the final product. We are not ones to recommend people to others as it could potentially reflect badly on us. That being said, we were so happy with Bert, that he completed the basements of 3 of our neighbours, my sister in law's, and he did a complete renovation of my other sister in law's house. He then did some odds and ends for my previous and current house and also did some work on my mother's house. In short, we trust Bert. So much so, we never get second quotes any more. If Bert cannot do a task we need done, he will provide referrals who I will and have equally trusted. The current job that Bert just completed was the installation of crown moulding and wainscotting in our current house. To put is simply, he did an incredible job. He exceeded our expectations and I and confident he added a lot of value to our home. In short, with Bert, we have trust in both what he says as well as the work he does. We do not hesitate in recommending Bert to anyone.
