We had a new roof installed by Tactic roofing. Afshin (the owner) was prompt to respond to our initial inquiry and very courteous and patient in answering all our numerous questions. His pricing was very competitive and we were most impressed by his honesty. Afshin was on site during the entire install and he made sure to educate and inform us on what was being installed and why. We felt we could make a knowledgeable decision on what needed to get done on the roof without overspending and with no sales pressure from Afshin. Afshin's crew was very courteous and put down tarps around the property to protect from damage and made sure to clean up after the job was complete. Afshin called the next day after the job was complete to ensure the bin was taken away and to follow up with any concerns we may have. Now that is going above and beyond! We feel very fortunate to have found Tactic roofing and would gladly recommend Afshin for any roofing job.

We dealt with Eugene from Royal Work for the install of a backwater valve in our basement. We contacted 8 other plumbing companies for the job, and most of them just gave us a vague quote over the phone. Eugene was one of the only plumbers who came personally to our house and used a camera to scope out the drains. This pretty much enabled us to get the most accurate quote for the work as well as be reassured that there were not going to be any surprises once they dug up the concrete. He answered all our questions and was always available on the phone during the install. They had the best price quote and Eugene helped us out with city rebate issues. The install crew were quick and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend Royal Work for any plumbing job.

I had reviewed classic home inspections earlier and had rated it very highly, but it later turned out that very important things had been missed that were in plain sight. Good: Brent was a great guy and had spotted a few things that were helpful to us. He was realistic with his estimates on renovation costs etc and spent a fair bit of time looking at the property. Bad: Brent failed to spot the fact that the addition built on our house did not have footings and that the entire deck was not secured properly. These were both in plain sight and should have been caught easily by a home inspector. We only found out once we had contactors come in for unrelated renos. Right now the city considers the structures unsafe and we have to replace both items at a very high cost. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
