3 years of broken promises to repair broken Ombra awning
Summer 2018: Motor on awning was not working. Summer 2019: Motor on awning was still not working. Summer 2020: Joe repaired the motor and it only worked to open the awning. During the summer the motor and manual opening and closing of the awning did not work. December 2020 Joe replaced the motor with a cracked motor and wanted to be paid electronically. I told him to come in the spring to test the awning. July 2021: I hired another company to remove the awning. It was fully extended and it did not close with motor or manually. From 2018 to 2021 there have been numerous calls and texts to Joe with only broken repair promises and no return communication. I had someone else call Joe and he responded immediately to the unrecognized phone number. He promised that he would come over within the week to repair the awning. 4 months later Joe arrives without a ladder and with his daughter to assist him. July 2021: I manually opened the awning because the motor was not working. I could not close the awning because the manual also stopped working. I called and sent a text to Joe, again to response to date. I could not leave the awning open because excessive rain will damage the awning and cause costly damage . The awning could collapse and the brackets attached to the house could break away. Due to Joe's lack of communication and service, I was forced to hire another awning company who immediately came over to remove and discard the awning. Attached picture is the full extended awning ballooning without the weight of downpour rainfall.
