Five Star engaged to paint my garage door. The scope of the work was increased twice, by me. The estimator gave a price from an internet view of the house. A delay was occasioned because they were so busy and the job was postponed till the next season. On the scheduled date the job was rained off, and I was told it would be rebooked in a few weeks. I got a call two days later to say it was booked in two days. The painter who showed up did not have the whole job on his specification, and could not include the parts other than the garage door without permission from the estimator. The painter tried to call him, I tried to call him and the central office tried to call him, but he did not answer. The result was only the garage door was painted-- at a price greater than the original quote. If you intend to hire this company, take warning from my experience.

I have tried to reach the customer personally but he has not responded.
The clientis a very elderly gentleman and quite hard to reach over phone or email. The job was booked in winter 2020 and at the time of quotaion was quoted for Oct 2020/May 2021 (weather permitting). The client was not able to get any painter at that time to quote for him. The client later added some eaves to the original scope of the work (garage door).
We had an earlier onset of winter by around 2 weeks and the job was moved to spring.
We confirm the client an exact date only two days ahead of painting. We let the client know one-two weeks in advance of the painting time window and then confirm an exact date.
Art the time of the job the client was not home and his son was at the spot. The client and his son had a conversation over the phone and told us to just do the garage door. It was a setback to us as we had arranged the manpower and materials for the larger scope of work. We had to incur unnecessary additional cost on the job for which we did not inconvenience the customer by any mention of it.
After this message I offered the client through email to get the balance work done if he wished; however, senior citizens have their own ways of doing things which we completely understand and respect.
