We had just started our research to obtain price quotes from roofers. Then last November I saw a Facebook post for a roofing special. And since a new roof was much needed we decided to give this local business a try. I knew the owner's grandfather from my childhood village. His grandfather was a regular customer at my parent's country restaurant. And he had a reputation for being a hard worker in the community. He was always cheerful and willingly took on responsibilities. I figured the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Roof Pros Plus was our second quote and they came in at a better price. Our house located uptown has a mansard design roof and we knew it would be challenging to find the right contractor to do this job. My handyman has always done our shingles on our low profile buildings. And there was no way that I would allow him to do this house because it's a two and a half level house. Roof Pros Plus salesmen Roch & Adam did an excellent presentation last Fall at our dining table. They came in well prepared and we were impressed with their product and knowledge of the roofing business. Their price was also reasonable for the size of our house. So fast forward six months later the crew arrived as scheduled. It took them two days (13.5 hours) maybe slip a 30-minute break in there, included. The guys completed the daunting task through sun, light overnight rain, and a thin layer of snow on the ground in the early am. They work fast because they know their trade. They're licensed, WSIB general liability, organized and the sub-contractor has good equipment, tools, and plenty of safe ladders stabilizer during installation. They bring a container for refuse material.  We did not remove our single layer of shingles before the installation. Not included in the price! We paid extra to have our old chimney removed. We now have a durable and sharp-looking new metal roof. The team of five are tireless workers. It takes a special kind of people to do this work. It was like watching acrobats in the Cirque du Soleil show on our rooftop. Best to stay out of their way for your safety. They make it look easy but it's not everybody that has roofing legs - it's truly a balancing job. Mark my words these guys have skills and abilities and it's not every business that will achieve the same results in a timely manner for the owners. I am sure whoever hires Roof Pros Plus will find the team excellent workers as well as pleasant people. After the job is done they will clean the worksite. We are now ready for Northern Ontario's four seasons weather for the next 50 years. Like my son texted me from Ottawa to Sudbury "The old barn looks good now" On the negative side! "You are hiring by contract"  it's a purchase agreement so NO detailed estimate of "cost per box"? and square footage coverage per box? (For example 30 panels per 100sq/ft = 30)  You have to ask these questions during the presentation. So please understand that your contractor will furnish all the necessary materials and labor to install, construct and place the improvements according to the specifications, terms, and conditions but no breakdown. And if you don't understand your purchase agreement Adam can be very adamant that's the way they do it "You are hiring by contract"  With sincere thanks to the Roof Pros Plus team!
