A most distasteful experience with a person I would never want do business with again. John harassed me on arrival to do the job, explaining that he had my invoice ready on his phone to send and would I now give him the cheque. Of course, I refused. He had done no work to this point. He said it would take him only 15 minutes. I have no idea as to the quality of the work he did, but after 15 minutes, he urged me to pay up. I had the cheque in hand and had no questions except why the unholy pressure to pay. He explained that he had other jobs to go to, that he then had to go home to his wife and eat dinner. I gave him the cheque and told him to go. He allowed as how he thought I was a decent guy. I told him I didn't need his compliments nd that he should take his sign and go. I don't know what kind of job he did. Only time will tell. What is certain is that this is the rudest, most unpleasant contractor I've ever dealt with.
