Elevator turned over September 2015. Twice in the span of 8 days the elevator got stuck. Sunday, February 7 was the first incident. When a call was placed to Savaria's office we discovered that there is no emergency after hours phone number to call. 2 messages were left. No return calls were received. Monday, February 15 (Family Day) was second incident. Elevator stuck at exact same spot on way up from basement to main floor. TSSA regulates elevators but not those in residential homes. Tuesday, February 16 another call was placed to Savaria and we were told that since we have the bronze service contract we are not entitled to the after hour emergency phone number. Too bad sales team isn't forthcoming with this information. As well, they do not tell you that you should not use elevator when you are the only person in the house. I found it very strange that the maintenance person on Wednesday, February 17th checked to make sure we would be able to get him out of elevator if it got stuck. Another time, I would definitely not purchase an elevator. One of those chair lifts attached to a flight of stairs would certainly give me more piece of mind.

Approximate cost of services:
$25,000.00
