We were having a heck of a time finding someone professional, reliable, and reasonably-priced to mow our 8000 sq ft lot. After several strike outs, we got JMP to come and do biweekly cuts and edgings. Mark did a good job and could be counted on to show up on the regularly scheduled day, rain or shine, without reminder calls. We used JMP all last year. Unfortunately, they're having some equipment problems this year which means we had to get someone else at the start of the season. If they can get things worked out we'll definitely go back.

Richard and Marissa are the husband and wife team who run this outfit. They offer very low prices for lawn mowing (advertise $15 and up) and maintenance, and do a decent job, but the problem is actually getting them to show up. They showed up the first time, then no showed on 3 or 4 subsequent bookings. Richard called us back once to say he had gone on a road trip to Seattle instead of coming and forgot to tell us (way to run a business!). The other times they never showed up and didn't return our calls. You definitely get what you pay for. Spend a little more because the time and aggravation involved in trying to track these people down is not worth it.

With a toddler and a newborn at home, I panicked when my furnace stopped working this winter. I called Your City Heating and Cooling, and Jeff was able to fit us into his schedule that same afternoon. He came out and got the furnace working but warned us that several parts would need replacing soon. About 3 weeks later when the igniter failed, Jeff came back out and replaced it for us, same day, for the cost of the part only. I found Jeff and the Your City receptionist to be friendly, helpful, and professional. I've recommended them to several family members.

We bought our voucher on Wag Jag in May for a lawn maintenance package including fertilization, liming, weed control, and aeration. Managed to schedule appointments FOUR times and they never showed up. Once they told us their transmission had gone on their truck; no explanations for the other three no shows. Since August they have not responded to numerous phone calls and emails. Clearly this "company" sold vouchers on several different deal sites with no intention of following through. Dishonest. We are trying to get our money back from Wag Jag.
