We bought our new house from Tribute which happen to have a Rivalda kitchen. We closed at the end of April of 2012 and until now they can't reslove the issues. We love almost everything about the house except for the finishing quality of our kitchen. The material can look high end but after moving in we realized the poor quality of this kitchen. To be fair to them they tried to resolve the issues in FOUR visits. As you can see where i am going with this, we still have issues but they don't want to come back anymore becuase they think we are too picky. I will leave some pictures for you to be the judge. As far as I am concerned this kitchen should have been ready before closing. They had more than enough time to get the kitchen ready for us. I am not going to blame the builder here because I know how good they are and I am really happy with them but the kitchen is out of their hands because they are having a lot of trouble with Rivalda as I heard from their site rep. Rivalda's emplyees are under staffed and don't give their emplyees enought time to get the job done right. I will admit that their staff is friendly and nice but it fails in the customer satisfaction. I hope the owner can read this and see the pictures. If they truly pride in their work I believe I should have the kitchen I deserve. I considered going back to them and adding crown moulding or valance but never again. I just don't have the time to keep making appointments so they can attempt to fix the problem that can't be fixed. We had four different people and they all echo the same thing that they are short staffed. They even goudged the toe kick and blammed it on the hardwood installers. Little they know that the floor was installed before they installed the cabinets. It shows a lack of ownership to their fault. They even forced my wife to sign that the issues were resolved at the last visit (I couldn't be home to baby sit them). - Come in ONE visit and fix all the problems. They documented all the problems in various visits.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- From what I know they only care about the really high end kitchens. If you are remodelling a small kitchen and don't care about great finishing, they might be still good for your needs. As for me, I am stuck with this kitchen for years until it falls apart.
