I looked at several local pavers and also had some door to door ones drop by. I reviewed other locations completed by Fraser's and found there quality to be as good as other local contractors. I had 4 different companies price the job and found Fraser to offer me the best cost and comitment of quality work. I let them proceed and through my own evaluation of my driveway I figured my base was already exceptional because of the many loads of gravel and recycled ashphalt I had layed over the years. Fraser still insisted adding more ensuring me that the performance and life would be increased with there recommendations. I let them proceed and would have to say that I have been very satisfied. the drive way is now about 10 years old and other than the colour of the aging ashphalt still is in first class condition.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Stay away from door to door contractors that tell you they are in the locality doing other drives. Stick with a local reputable contractor who you can call whe ever there are problems.

As we were renovating our dining room we were looking for hard wood flooring. We have purchased most of our other flooring products from Rick's and have usually been satisfied. In our search for hard wood, we found many items we liked but found the prices to be rather inflated compared to many other locations we looked at. We didnt end up purchasing the hard wood from Ricks as they just could not be competitive with [another store] where we purchased it. I am a believer in supporting the local businesses instead of the big bix stores but hwne I am looking at $800 difference I have to make my stand.

I was dimalishing a chiminey where my water heater and fireplace vented. I needed to install a new venting water heater. Mikes recommended a tankless water heater. Although I was sceptacle, Mike insured me I would be happy with it. I let him install it and I am very happy with it. Now saving money on keeping hot water hot, no chimney required and never ever out of hot water. I also now fill my hot tub up with hot water because its cheaper to heat the water with gas than the electrical heating element in the hot tub. Installation is professional and persnal service by Mike is great. Highly recommended.

Don't be affraid of the newer technology in tankless water heaters. They have been in Europe and Asia for decades. They do save money and the environment.
