They have a very good vacuum but use it very superficially. The contract included cleaning the air conditioning area as well and they didn't. The air intake duct was left uncleaned. The holes missed in the lines by the company were sealed with foil tape because the rubber plugs were smaller than the holes they opened. For some reason when the basement lines were blown all the dust came out through the first floor ducts leaving a cloud of dust throughout the house. My question is: if all that dust came back out of the ducts, it means that the registers were filled with dust again. Of course they have somehow cleaned something up.

Company Response

Job Completed on: December 16th, 2020

Hi Roger, sorry you had such a bad experience when our technicians cleaned your ducts. As I recalled before starting the job you asked for a discounted rate. Our price was $230.00 to clean all your ducts and vents. You said another company quoted you $200.00 so we decided to honor this since we were there. My techs followed every precaution when the cleaning was being done. Before blowing any supply or return vents all vents are covered to prevent any dust from escaping. When you called to complain after the techs had wrapped up you did say that you had some renos done which I told you after that the vibration from the agitation device can lift dust that is sitting under your baseboard on the main floor. You accepted that this was a possibility and proceeded to give the techs a tip for their hard work.

I also offered to come over to investigate if the job was done correctly in which you declined and said another discount would suffice.

RBS's policy is we will investigate if our customer is unhappy with our work. If the job is deemed incomplete we will recleaned the entire HVAC system ductwork and vents at a discounted rate.

Unfortunately we did not get a chance to do as such. We would welcome the opportunity to investigate and to rectify this problem.

Thank you,

Tony Rodrigues
