a vanity top with installed sink
the worst experience I have ever had with a company. A vanity now has taken almost two months to arrive, (April 12 first contact, Now June 3 still not installed). First time forgot to come to my residence and measure, then after measuring the man quit, and Granito did not call me. After another week went by I called them, and they did not realize that I was still waiting. Another person came and measured, after another two weeks I went back to the company in person and asked what was the hold up. Told that I was now a priority, and the job would be done within a week. Another two weeks had gone by, and I had to call the office again. This time I was promised it would be installed in only days. Finally they came, and only left the sink. The installers told my wife that the Granite not cut right. When I called the office on the following day, they had no idea that the vanity was not installed and promised to call back. Four days in waiting I had to call again, and was told that they had read the measurements wrong, and that it was being redone. I was so excited when on May 25, 6 weeks after I had paid my deposit, the installers came with the finished product. After they had left I noticed a crack by running my hand over the surface, and it cut my skin. I called the company the following morning and was told that it was only a fisher. They did come back and wanted to grind out the break, however, I decided that I did not want a cracked piece of granite for a vanity. So one week later, Granito calls me and confirms that they will be showing up and installing the vanity top between the hours of 5 to 7 p.m. So I waited, and yes you can fill in the blanks, no calls, and yes no showing up on times confirmed. Here it another day gone by and when I had to call the store again, they tell me that some time in the afternoon they might appear. No way should anyone deal with these people. Very disorganized, but always polite. This company had many chances to correct their mistakes, but just seemed content to bungle along continuing to stray from all they say on their web site. After all this crap, only willing to give a discount of $100, wow. If this is how business is done, they should not be in business long. Very, very poor, wish I had never stopped in, and gave them my credit card number. Just to add, the installers have come and before I let them go I wanted to go over the piece of Granite. I did notice that a piece is missing from the cut out for the sink. It has been filled with apoxy and when I noticed this I got on the phone and again called the store. This is the result. I was told over the phone that everything that goes out of the store has defects. I am amazed. I asked why they did not call me and let me know before sending it out again, and the answer was that its a natural piece of stone and it will have flaws. OMG what an experience.

Mr Bingley came into our showroom and inspected and selected the piece of marble that was used for his vanity. He came in numerous times to view it before placing his order. Every customer is well informed that from the time of templating orders could take up to 3-4 weeks. It was very difficult setting up an appointment with this customer for templating in the first place since he was only available on Fridays and he was also on vacation for a couple of weeks. The first templater that measured Mr Bingley’s vanity had a personal unfortunate issue occur and had to take a leave of absence from our company until September. Mr Bingley was very understanding about this and he was also very patient. As a courtesy we promised to send out another templater after hours and have his vanity installed a couple of days later. Furthermore, a credit of $100 was applied to his $700 order. On the day of the install Mr Bingley was not happy with his piece (the piece he had chosen and inspected). Out of good faith we decided to remake the piece and the second vanity was installed 1 week later. This time, Mr Bingley decided to take out a magnifying glass to inspect his natural stone marble vanity. They found a minor chip around his sink area-a mark that could not even be seen without a magnifying glass. Our installers had to fill it using a magnifying glass since it was not even visible without using it. When Mr. Bingley called to complain about this ‘defect’ we explained to him that natural stone, especially marble, is full of imperfections and it is not perfect. We are sorry that Mr Bingley is not happy with the service we provided to him, however, being in business for over 25 years and having most of our business come from referrals we tried our outmost to make him happy. Perfection does not exist in natural stone, that’s what makes granite and marble more beautiful and interesting. We suggest Mr Bingley consider laminate or a manmade product for any other future project or renovation.
