First and foremost he takes the time to explain to you every detail he is observing throughout the inspection (good, bad or just a plain observation). He was very knowledgable and thourough. He inspected our home for 6 hours! His report offered very specific recommendations for deficiencies that should be addressed immediately, vs. minor details that could be corrected at your discretion. If you're buying a home it's the biggest purchase you're likely to make. You're better off spending a little extra money to get a guy who gets 10/10 from all his customers.
