I had my roof replaced by Whonnock Roofing about 15 years ago, and have been nothing but amazed with them. I had 3 non-typical issues, that they handled in a perfect, professional manner. The first was their willingness to cooperate. When they showed up to site with the material to do the job, I had originally asked for a dark tile. When I saw it, I was worried it would be too dark. I didn’t research the colour options well enough, and it was a slightly lighter coloured tile I wanted. Whonnock Roofing said “No problem- we’ll swap it out”. So they returned all the tile, picked up the new, and still managed to keep the schedule, with no extra charge. The second was the willingness to stand behind their work. Approximately 5 years after the install I had water tracking down my plumbing vent pipe through the roof during a heavy rainfall. When I called them, they had 2 techs come that same day (on a Saturday too). They said the boot around the vent had disappeared. I suspect some animals had gotten at it, but Whonnock Roofing replaced it with no questions. The 3rd event that amazed me is their customer service. I called them a week ago to install water diverters on the roof, and they came the next day with 2 techs, and charged an extremely reasonable rate. That’s my personal experience with Whonnock Roofing, but I have also saw in the local paper a couple feel-good stories of goodwill within the community. The company and staff internally raises money every Christmas time to help those in need. Also, a few years ago the company spent their own money to do a major clean-up of an area that people were using as a dump area- if my memory is correct, 15 dump-trucks full of garbage. That alone makes me proud to support a company like this. Keep up the good work Whonnock Roofing- you have a customer for life!
