I reached out to A&J Windows & Doors due in large part to the reviews theyve received. I most certainly was not disappointed. John was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. While I had been looking to replace both the entrance and storm doors, after coming out to take a look for himself, John was very honest and helpful in explaining why he advised against changing out the main door. That pretty much confirms this company is not in it just to make a buck! Proceeding with a new storm door, Johns attention to detail during the install did not go unnoticed and I couldnt be more pleased with the new door; not to mention its curb appeal. If you are looking for windows or doors, you definitely want to give A&J WIndows and Doors a call!

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Affordable Insulation to anyone looking for home insulation. Their attention to customer service truly is exceptional. Jason responded promptly to my request for a home visit and quote. He was very informative about his initial inspection and a pleasure to speak with. Jason explained in detail what he saw (or didn’t see) in my attic and the work that would be undertaken by his crew. He was also forthcoming in mentioning items that may be uncovered after the more detailed inspection by Syd and Rod on the day they arrive to blow in the insulation, so there would be no last minute surprises. When the day came Syd and Rod certainly took the time to fully inspect the house and attic. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and recommendations were appreciated and valued. Syd did discover an issue in the attic that -- should I choose to address it -- he recommended be dealt with prior to their proceeding with the job. I imagine most other contractors at this point would have packed up and said see you later. Not Syd and Rob. Unbeknownst to me, the previous homeowners had tossed a lot of debris into the attic. Syd and Rob stuck around and spent a fair amount of time clearing it out in preparation for the day they could proceed with blowing in the insulation. When they finally were able to proceed, they left the property spotless - without a trace of their having been here. I’m already noticing a difference with the added insulation in that the A/C isn’t on nearly as much.

I really wish I had checked Homestars before running to Bulldog appliances in a panic after discovering my fridge had conked out and losing everything in the freezer. I thought I would do the "politically correct' thing and shop locally. Mistake! I was there to make a purchase, not a complaint, and I was made to feel like my presence was an intrusion. On more than one occasion, two different people at the front desk cut me off when I was asking a question to say, "then it would be a used refrigerator and we won't be able to do anything about it" and of course this was after I had bought it and too late to back out. The two stars are for the delivery guys. After my experience in the shop, I was dreading what my encounter with them would be like. Thankfully, all three of them were very pleasant, personable & helpful; they were a pleasure to deal with. I can only hope I don't have any service issues with this product that would require me to contact Bulldog front office again.

This is a follow-up to review done after the roof was re-shingled. It’s one thing to see interest and enthusiasm when you’ve got a job in the thousands of dollars. But what happens when you need help with a very small repair? Shortly after Titans gave me a brand new roof, further home maintenance resulted in a hole needing to be cut in it. To further complicate things, I had to coordinate Titans arrival with a second contractor in order for a third contractor to complete the initial project. YIKES!! I was prepared for absolute chaos. Shawn didn’t skip a beat. His response: “Not a problem. Give your contractor my number, have him get in touch with me to discuss timing and we’ll be there.” And within a couple of days, they were. Job done. Now that’s easier than “The Easy Button”!

After a couple of heavy windstorms had me retrieving shingles from the driveway, I gazed upwards and realized a few missing shingles wasn’t the least of my problems; a new roof was definitely overdue. I turned to HomeStars to help me locate a top-rated, local company and ended up contacting Titans Roof Works and one other. Both companies responded promptly. The first wanted me to be present when they came to do the quote, and I foolishly sat at home waiting for them to show up. I never heard another word from “Company A”. I now consider that to be my lucky day. Titans also responded promptly, and I came home from work to find a detailed estimate waiting for me sooner than expected. When Shawn met with me in person – right on schedule -- to finalize the contract and select the colour, he didn’t rush the meeting and was very thorough and helpful. I had done some research into shingles and knew I wanted CertainTeed Landmark shingles – that was the extent of my input. In the end, Shawn’s help with the final colour choice and the crew’s input with how to deal with a ‘dip’ in a very old roof resulted in a fantastic job. I still smile as I pull into my driveway. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional, courteous & tidy bunch of guys (oh, not to forget Tracy in the office) you won’t be disappointed with Titans Roof Works.
