After reading reviews at HomeStars, I obtained quotes from the top four rated roofing companies in Ottawa. Excel Building & Roofing won the contract as their price was slightly lower than the rest, they were able to complete the job before any of the other companies, and they were the top rated company in Ottawa. The project manager made an extra trip to our house to help us choose the color and he sent us to other nearby homes they had completed so we could actually see the colors installed on a house. The crew was courteous and they worked very hard in the extreme heat. They also wore safety harnesses anchored to the roof while working. They kept me up to date with their progress, they cleaned up when they were finished. and the roof looks great. My neighbors also commented to me afterwards about how quiet the crew was. No loud music, excessive yelling etc that we have experienced from other roofing companies working in the neighborhood. I am happy with our choice to have Excel Building and Roofing replace our roof. I would certainly recommend.

We had Rock’s tree service trim seven trees and remove one large tree. The first crew came and cut down a large tree and ground out the stump and the visible roots. They worked very quickly and cleaned up all of the mess and filled in the hole. Very polite. The second crew led by Ralph showed up shortly afterwards and trimmed the rest of the trees. They did an excellent job and worked very hard and fast to get the job done. Ralph checked with us throughout the job to make sure that we were happy with the progress and the end result. These guys really knew what they were doing and provided us with advice on how to better maintain our trees. The impressive part was how respectful they were of our property. They took great care to clean up all of the trimmings and they even scooped small leaves from our pool. The guys also did some minor touch ups on some shrubs that were not part of the contract as they obviously cared what the final overall product looked like. I was so impressed with these guys that I wrote their company before they were finished the job to let the management know how well they were doing. The price was fair and I will absolutely have these guys back next season.
