After our GC-supplied tile labour had in fulfilling specs (no uncoupling membrane, discoloured grout, no tile baseboard) we had ACF do approx. 271 sq ft of tile work for front entrance, floor and baseboard of two bathrooms, shower enclosure tile, front entry floor (not pictured) and backsplash. Included embedding some quartz shower niche shelves (see picture). Carla visited multiple times and ensured she knew the specs and measurements in detail from our architect before starting. ACF also installed a gradual slope to some pieces to ensure their tile met the wood floor. Other than one mistake on the tile-wood elevation (wood floor installers compensated however), we didn't experience any other issues. Carla took the time to check in at various stages and let us know when to have them come back for the next section of work. ACF discussed a proper install right from the beginning (uncoupling membrane, good grout) as part of their service without any silliness like a "scratch coat", etc. Highly recommend - great service and competitive prices.

Wide plank laminated with foam underlay on basement slab with engineered hardwood with regular wax paper underlay on main and 2nd. Efloor was recommended by our architect and we agree with others that their sales staff was great to deal with. A little disappointed more people don't put up reviews frequently here - whether good or bad. We dealt directly with Aaron and had Liviu and his team install. Aaron spent considerable time helping us select a good product during the supply issues over the COVID pandemic and was very helpful in helping us choose. Laminate was arranged and installed under a GC that we parted ways with, yet Aaron agreed to complete the unfinished part of the laminate and continue with hardwood at the price negotiated under the GC. Given the stranglehold GCs can have on their suppliers, this brought my rating from a 9 to a 10. Not every supplier continues with the 'little guy' (that's you homeowner) due to loyalty with the GC. Liviu was wonderful: explained the process, touched up things that needed touching up and sanded some of the underflooring that the GC didn't get level. He had great customer service, crafted some great nosing and hardwood vents and was patient as we installed in sections in order to move items around. He made me replace the protection tape I put on the hardwood afterwards to ensure I used one that wouldn't damage the surface. :)

Substantially-new renovation: underpin with addition push-back, so we needed a variety of insulation solutions including slab-edge insulation, under slab insulation (radiant floor), various spray foamed areas (headers, new roof, hard-to-reach areas), Roxul batts, foam continuous insulation inside and outside, and sound attenuating batts for interior walls, stairs etc. Alrek was excellent in problem-solving how to insulate various parts of the entire house with some odd framing, draining requirements (i.e. interior french drains), and other special scenarios that arise when you mix old with new. Margaret was great at getting things scheduled when we needed them. Was impressed with their responsiveness and checking in to ensure things were to our satisfaction. Prices are reasonable and their customer service, responsiveness and willing to find solutions make this company an easy choice.
