This was the first time I tried using HomeStars' referral service. Dmitry was available to come and quote even though I was at work and no one was home (except the dog). The quote was reasonable and he was very flexible to come and do the work when we were home. Dmitry showed up when he said he would and his work was beautiful. We had to leave even though he wasn't done but we trusted him fully. When we came home, the job was done and to perfection! Thank you so much, Dmitry! My husband and I moved into a midtown Victorian row house last spring and our insurance provider recommended we install a battery back-up sump pump in the event of a power outage. We found Strong Plumbing on Homestars and set up an appointment to have him provide and install the sump pump. Two days before the scheduled appointment we discovered our shower was leaking at 6 in the morning. We contacted Valentin and he came that same morning to fix the leak. The leak, thankfully, wasn't an issue but he installed the sump pump in the same visit, saving us time off work. Valentin is personable, reliable, prompt and we really appreciated his friendly, knowledgeable service. We would highly recommend him and already have to friends. Thanks Valentin!

Mike and his wife painted the interior of our entire house. They did such a fantastic job and it looks great! They had to do it in two stages since we had new trim installed throughout the house but they made everything really easy and painless. We've asked Mike to come back in the spring to paint the exterior of the house.

Francisco and his team did an absolutely beautiful job on our floors and stairs. They started on the 2nd floor where they ripped out our old carpet and put down new oak floors, stained and finished them. The next step was the staircase - Francisco worked with Gmano Railings to remove the carpet and replace the old 1982 staircase with a beautiful new one complete with iron railings. The third stage of the project was to re-finish and sand and stain our existing first floor oak hardwoods to match the new 2nd floor and staircase and they did a fantastic job. What made the project go so smoothly was how easy it was to communicate with Francisco. He was prompt to reply, clear in his instructions and he was always at the house when he said he would be. His workers were clean and tidy and they took great care to vacuum up the dust at the end of each day of work, which made the final clean up very easy. Ecowoods exceeded our expectations in every way and we would recommend them to anyone who is very fussy about the finished product.

Leo did such a beautiful job on our 30-year old staircase. He replaced all the treads and pickets, gave us two posts, replaced the curved nosing on our 2nd floor ledge, took out the railing and re-installed it to match the new wrought iron pickets. The work was done efficiently and with attention to detail. Leo was easy to communicate with, documented everything so we were all on the same page and he was in and out in no time. His cheery disposition makes him a pleasure to do business with. We would recommend Leo to anyone, especially people who like high quality work. Our staircase looks better than I ever could have imagined!

This is our second time using Room at a Time painting. The first time we used them was at our old house. Now we're in a new house and the interior needed a fresh coat of paint. They do a very thorough job prepping the walls before they paint and they're tidy. The paint job looks amazing and we'll certainly have them back again for future projects.
