We have a 2 story home and had an existing old skylight, which would heat up the second floor in the summer and cool in down in the winter. We were always fighting with the furance and air condition to heat or cool the second floor. We contacted John McLellan and he suggested the Velux skylight with a manuel opening. We are so happy with the results. We open the skylight and the evening cool breeze flows through the house on the warmer days. It has well insulated glass that keeps the house warm in winter. We rarely use our air conditioner in the summer now. This was the perfect solution for our two storey home. John's staff were kind and caring and very neat. I'd highly recommend his company as John stands behind his name. In fact we are getting quote for new windows too.
