We have used Steamatic on two other occasions for carpet cleaning and were very happy with the outcome. But the last time we used them we were not so happy. When I phoned to make the booking it was a different lady to the one the other two occasions, she did not ask me if we had used Steamatic before as the other lady did. Steamatic arrived on time on the day of the appointment I pointed out stains on our carpets telling him what had caused the stain. He went around and sprayed each stain that I had pointed out. Then a young guy came into house who was obviously training the first guy told him about the stains and the young trainee started cleaning the carpet. The first guy spent the whole time they were here on his cell phone. When they had finished I noticed that they had not put the sofa/chairs coffee tables etc on polystyrene blocks to allow the carpet to dry, as they had done on the other two occasions, he said we now put these showing me small squares of plastic material I said I can't see any of those under the legs of the furniture oh he said I must have missed that sofa and quickly put them under the sofa when they had left I checked all our furniture none had any squares. I felt it was a slapdash job they are not cheap I would not have them clean our carpets again I think the staff have changed at Steamatic and are not as good as the previous staff. When we had our carpets cleaned by them the first two times the lady who I had made the booking with called me to see if I was happy with the job I did not get a follow up call this time. I have given them four based on the first two times when we were very pleased with the cleaning.
