I was looking for plants and decor for my front yard. I sketched out my yard and the lady that owns the store helped me plan what to put where, how to plan out my gardens. She really knows her plants and has gorgeous yard items!

Our backyard is surrounded by cedar hedge on 3 sides. When we bought our house, the hedge hadn't been trimmed in many years, if ever. Our neighbor across the street has immaculate, huge hedges and recommended Francis cedar Hedge Trimming. They came one afternoon while we were at work, did a fantastic job, and cleaned up so well that I hardly knew they were there, except for the super hedges! They trustingly came back a few days later for payment. The gentleman said that it only cost as much as it did because the hedges were in terrible shape and that to maintain would be only about $250. He was very interested in making sure we had thoroughly checked out the work and were thoroughly satisfied. A++!

We, along with our next door neighbors, hired this company to come and take down a tree on the property line that was causing issues. They were fast and professional and did not leave a big mess. My toddler loved watching them work and they were friendly and patient with him, too!

Very professional. Sealed all cracks and put a nice dark, glossy coating on our driveway last summer that held up nicely throughout the winter and still looks great. We can smell it a little though when the weather is 30 degrees plus.

I have gone in the new location next to Foodland a few times. There is a nice selection of home and garden decor items for relatively reasonable prices. I am excited for spring, as I have talked with Cindy a few times about gardening, and her plant knowledge is awesome! The containers and garlands that were made and sold through the winter were gorgeous, and I am excited to get Cindy's input when revamping my garden in the spring!

We hired this company to make custom shutters for our last home about 3 years ago. It is a small husband and wife owned business so we thought we would give them a try. The consultation was great. They were very respectful of budget and offered a range of ideas and advice. It all fell apart on the install. They were missing parts, had to hand cut pieces to stick them in until proper parts came in. We had to call multiple times to push to get install completed properly. Reading the review below, It was fortunate we had not yet paid in full and had leverage to get the job done right!

I loooove Lee Valley for gardening stuff but it is not the cheapest store around. When we moved in to our new place, the old brass kitchen hardware was atrocious! When I went looking for kitchen cabinet knobs for a cheap and quick fix, I was sure I would find what I wanted at ikea. No such luck. I decided to pop into lee valley, since it was across the road. They had a huge selection of high, mid, and cheap priced hardware. I got exactly what I was looking for in the clearance section for less than $50!! And if I ever get that kitchen Reno I want, I'll go back for my "forever" knobs, too!

Fast and reliable. These guys come and do a great job getting our driveway cleared right out. Have even came when there was just a small snowfall and driveway is cleared across the whole width.

I used to shop here often before I moved to SW Ontario. Having just moved back after 8 years, I went to buy some plants last spring for our new house, and I felt like the plant selection was not as good as before and the prices much higher. I only purchased some "necessities" and will have to shop around this coming spring!

We looked around at a few specialty BBQ stores and we found the staff here friendly and knowledgable. We werent sure if we wanted weber and napoleon and they walked us through the pros/ cons of each. They delivered our grill when it was convenient for us and it sealed the deal when they threw in a couple accessories to match more so what a competitor was offering. Love you guys...love the grill!

I wanted very contemporary and clean looking good quality faucets, shower heads, etc for a bathroom renovation and one of the big box stores offered the mix of quality and sleek design that I wanted. Preston hardware had a great selection of designs that I hadn't seen elsewhere! Also the staff was friendly and had expert advice regarding the quality of a brand i was unfamiliar with. I am very happy with my purchase!

We have been beginning to renovate our home and have purchased the vast majority of items at Barry's Home Hardware, in Russell. Not only is it vastly superior in service and sometimes quality to the big box stores, but it is also the best Home Hardware I have been to. They have a friendly staff that is incredibly knowledgeable! Although they may be a little more expensive than the big box stores, the advice of the staff members has probably saved us hundreds of dollars in mistakes. With their help and recommendations, I was able to successfully lay my own tile floor! The employees were also able to give us the names of some reputable local business to help us when there is a project that we need done professionally.

Mark was extremely thorough and provided us with a comprehensive report. On the day of the inspection, he took me through the home we were purchasing and explained everything to me in laymans terms, without ever being condescending or impatient with my (sometimes silly, I am sure) questions. He was personable and professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection!

Richard is one of the best handymen in London. He put in a well-built and beautiful fence and a professional-looking large deck at our new house (complete with built in benches and planter boxes!) that friends estimated would have cost well over $10 000 and did it for a very reasonable price. He was also our go-to guy for any day to day repairs and installations and put a new roof on our house through the hottest day of the summer! He really cares about whether the customer is satisfied and will make sure it is done properly and to your specifications. Richard is a quality guy who you can trust.

The quality of the work done in our house that we bought from this builder was good; however, the service that was provided and the communication certainly left something to be desired. On our final walkthrough, there were a few cosmetic issues that were agreed to be fixed that did not ever get done, but nothing major. We did not find out until we went to sell our house that the final inspection with the city had never been finalized and there were outstanding issues that needed to be corrected before we could sell. It scared our buyer and almost jeopardized the sale. There were other customer service issues that irked me as well, such as when the people contracted out to do the landscaping put a tree in our yard and apparently were not supposed to. I agreed that it should go, as it was right behind another existing tree, so a few days later, someone came along, dug up the tree, threw some dirt in the hole and some sod on top and called it a day. When I went out to check on it, I stepped down and the ground sunk easily 4 inches. I just felt that since it was their mistake, I shouldn't be the one having to repair a sinkhole. After numerous calls and over a week later, the site contractor (who was a really good guy) finally came and filled and rolled it.
