I had Grainger Construction do a complete renovation 3 1/2 years ago and we still love it! We had walls taken down, beams installed, windows put in -- you name it! Steve and his assistants did fine work in the dead heat of summer and had us back into our kitchen in approximately a month. The finishes are beautiful, the cuts and corners were precise and they even installed our cabinetry when Rona was backed up and was going to make us wait another week. The team was congenial, helpful and easy to get along with -- REALLY important when you are "living in" during your reno. We'd have no reservation about recommending them to anyone else, but be prepared to "up" your original estimate some as Steve has some great ideas and has a habit of planting seeds in your head that are hard to resist. Also be prepared to pay for any extras you ask for -- an offer to hang things up or help out with something will show up on your bill.

I went to look for drapery fabrics with my sister-in-law and we were almost overwhelmed with the selection -- so many nice materials to choose from and so hard to narrow down. We wound up taking a very nice stripe after over an hour of deliberation! The service people were very helpful with advice and sharing of their own opinions. The only problem I had was with the impossibility of using your discount card without having it in hand. One of my kids had "lifted" it and they don't keep records of their memberships. Had to leave without using the discount -- which I pay annually for! Wasn't too thrilled about that -- but I guess I should have checked my wallet first.
