This is the second time I've hired Nick to do construction work on my family's home. The first time - several years ago - he applied new parging on a newly built foundation wall. Since then, the parging has kept perfectly in tact - no cracks, discoloration, etc. This year, we had called up Nick and his crew to excavate and pour a 9'x12' concrete slab on grade, with foundation walls, for a brick shed. Again, we have had the same positive experience as the last. I had several specific requests for the work to be done a certain way - he was very accommodating and gave an honest opinion of what he recommends should and shouldn't be done, while at the same time not being pushy. He gave me time to make decisions without being pressured, which helped to instill trust. When they showed up to do the work - on the day and during the timeframe they had initially promised - they were quick, efficient, their craftsmanship was great, they were pleasant to deal with and they did not leave any mess behind. They had constructed the foundation above and beyond what that needed to be done (ie. poured thicker footings, thicker slab, added concrete sealer, insulation, etc.), but for the same price as what other contractors had bid for minimal work. Hratch and his crew did a great job on my new concrete radiant floor that I had them pour in my new house. After the floor was poured, I needed to choose a finish. So, they allowed me to visit one of their other job sites so I could see a completed job. They also made samples of different types of finishes on a small area of my floor that would be covered up anyway by the fridge. I chose the wax polish since it seemed to give the most even, consistent look. After the floor was polished and drying, I started to worry because I didn't expect it to have so much variation and contrast in tone. However, Hratch assured me that it would lighten up and even out, and sure enough it did. The finished product looks beautiful! Thanks Decocrete!

Antica has a very good selection of quality products and a well-lit showroom, with displays that give great design inspiration. I was on a budget and looking for several wall and floor tiles for my bathroom. Beata was extremely patient and helpful with helping me choose tiles that complemented each other as well as the rest of the bathroom furniture. She definitely has a great sense of design, and knew how to explain options to me in a way that I could understand and visualize what she was recommending. She helped me find tiles that were well within my budget too. The tiles look beautiful in my bathroom and I always receive compliments on them! I'm a designer from Toronto, and I can't say that I've ever seen such a beautiful, well-organized showroom. They offer a multitude of different products and brands that are in the mid to high end price range. I bought several fixtures for a home, and had the pleasure of dealing with Sandra at Astro. She was amazing. Positive and always concerned with what I needed. She put a lot of time and effort into finding the exact fixtures I was looking for. I must have visited ten times before making up my mind. And each time, she was super patient and devoted 100% of her attention to meeting my needs. They really do take customer appointments seriously. Sandra also gave me a great deal for buying all of these fixtures as a group. Sean, Carlos and the rest of the crew at Tapworks have been working with me for several months, helping to find the most suitable bathroom fixtures for my house. All of them are super friendly. They're always up for a chat, and know me as a regular customer. Their showroom, located in a small plaza on Kingston Road, appears small from the exterior. But once you step in, there is a huge selection of mid to high-end fixtures on display. They deal with good quality brands. I bought several toilets, and faucets with them because they gave me the lowest estimates out of a handful of stores across the city. They really do seem to care about customer service, because they make suggestions for fixtures that don't necessarily give them the most profit, but fixtures that most suit your needs. Also, they give realistic ETA times, and their deliveries are always on schedule. I've already recommended them to several of my family friends, and will continue recommending them as long as they keep up the good work!

I am quite particular, so was searching for several fixtures with unique specs for my house. Mike Nooreini from Eurolite helped me find 4 or 5 fixtures to suit different applications. He was very knowledgeable about the products and brands they deal with, had a good sense of how each fixture emits light and affects the surrounding space, and was very patient with me while I decided on which fixtures would be best for the house. He was always friendly, honest, and positive. What great customer service! The showroom is large and easy to navigate, with an extensive selection on display. The fixtures I installed are beautiful, energy efficient, and different from the ones you'd get from big box stores. I always receive compliments from visitors! A lot of their products on display are high end and on the pricey side, but you can still find good deals if you flip through their books. Thanks Eurolite!

I contacted Diatec because I had a certain fireplace in mind that I wanted to buy. The store has a decent sized showroom. I found the owner, Alan, to be very knowledgeable about his products and services, and very soft-spoken and courteous. There was no pressure to buy, which is a nice change from dealing with all the aggressive business men out there. He was able to keep his word and have my fireplace ready for pick up as promised. And his prices were very reasonable. There were no unexpected last minute add-ons. His assistant Ashley (I believe that was her name), is super friendly and was able to attend to all my needs. Even though Diatec is a bit of a trek from where I live, I would not hesitate to return because of their great customer service. And I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful fireplace!
