Mark came over and provided sound advice on the 'minimum' cost and his recommendations for the best overall value over the long term. He correctly identified a shortage circuits with enough amps throughout and provided a plan to get from the panel to the new kitchen by opening the (finished) basement ceiling. On the day of the work, I suggested cutting the upstairs living room floor instead, since I was going to replace it later anyways: he not only had the flexibility to do it but got it done in record time, arranged all inspections, progressed while I was on vacation and ended-up replacing some additional switches and upgrading the bathroom electrical (at my suggestion). Now everything works and I can (safely) enjoy the house for decades to come without compromise. Thanks!
