Kevin is a rarity amongst contractors: he does what he says and when he says hell do it for the most part. I knew Kevco Landscaping would be the one to go with when Kevin first called me back on a Saturday like he said he would. Most contractors dont even do this at the initial stage. He was also recommended by a friend who I trust bc shes picky as I am. Even so, I always get at least 4-5 different quotes from other contractors and his came in around the middle and is fair for the industry. When he came to scope out the job in the back, he was honest and gave me cost savings advice wrt the concrete pool coping which I originally wanted to remove but he advised against it. He didnt take advantage to make a buck; thats why I trust him and wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. We used Kevco for a previous job: 2 gates, fence repairs and side walkway & stairs and we were thrilled with the results (so was our neighbour who hired him to do his gate). Kevin returned a week later to make sure we were satisfied as well as to seal cut ends. His team for both jobs were skilled, friendly, considerate and hard working. The young men all had great respect for us and Kevin which is a pleasure to see these days! The true test is when things go wrong and how a contractor resolves issues that crop up. Kevin worked seamlessly with our irrigation guy when issues with the sprinkler system occurred for both projects. My biggest testimony is how Kevin dealt with a misunderstanding about the design which couldve halted the project until next season if I stuck to my guns but Kevin patiently listened to what was most important to us and he problem solved and worked with us to the best of his ability. What could have been disastrous turned out even better than I envisioned. When Kevin came back to ensure were happy, he offered up some tweaks to some minor finishing details I pointed out (keep in mind, Im really picky) which he will do next season when he does our front yard. Yes, we are happy to hire Kevco Landscaping again and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him to any of our family and friends!!! Thanks Kevin!
