I had three companies quote the trimming of a 60 year old tree on my front lawn. Two companies gave very high quotes on trimming, and one of those companies said the tree could thrive with some intense fertilization. Steve, from Glenwood was the only one recommended taking the tree down. As you can imagine, a 60 year old tree is very large, and we were concerned about the possibility of the tree coming down on the house. We were also concerned about a hole at the base of the tree and another one part way up the truck. After some consideration, we proceeded with Glenwood, and we are so glad we did. The crew was very professional and friendly, and had the tree completely down in about 4 hours. The entire main trunk was 80 per cent rotten, so who knows how long the tree would have remained standing. One week after the removal of the tree, the crew returned to grind the stump.
