Vicki Booth, proprietor of Roomscape, was recommended on the basis of which I hired her. She couldn't have made the experience more nightmarish if she worked at it. She doesn't return calls, disappears for weeks at a time, manages project through photos from contractor, no clear vision, no applications to show you the final outcome to expect, is not forward with information, does not work from budget, nor mindful of costs, recommends buying through her as you pay her costs when in fact she doubles the price unbeknownst to customer, bought a carpet for $400 in the States with six week waiting period when same one available in Canada for $145. In fact all shopping is done by pictures in emails, never in store. Incapable of removing herself and putting client first, so constantlt trying to superimpose her taste rather than working with customer's preference. Deferred design of closets and storage room to the incompetent contractor then tried to do it on hourly rate, charged for installation of blinds which cost should be included in price then requested same amount be paid to installer in cash. Extremely unprofessional, antiquated, incapable of providing cost saving projects. She doesn't provide contract at the outset, claiming later she did all along and provides one signed by her alone. Presumably in it she advises she charges $75 an hour to be billed at the end of the project, allowing her to incur expenses without the customer's right to manage her time. In the end we parted ways on acrimonious terms with job unfinished and many aspects having to be redone as individual pieces were fine, but put together did not work well.

Mond was hired by designer to renovate two bedroom, two bathroom condo. This ended up taking five months, job not finished, everything had to be done two, three times over. Kitchen sink not placed properly, heated floor not working, door frame in bathroom not removed once door replaced with barn door, poor quality workmanship by unqualified tradesmen passing themselves for professionals, tiles chipped and broken in bathroom, horrendous time management, incompetent project manager, had to wait four months for closet doors. Third rate company, employing third rate subcontractors.

I have had the great fortune to deal with Natik Painting first through a contractor and subsequently on my own when I decided to extend and paint two bedrooms, a bathroom and an accent wall. I called James, one of the proprietors, on Monday as I was impressed with the job they did initially and he came on Tuesday to assess the job. Initially I had a colour in mind, but very quickly deferred to his judgement as the alternative choices he offered were so much more brilliant than the choice I started out with. James and his crew came at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday of a long weekend and finished at 2:00 p.m. I have already recommended Natik Painting and will do so often. They are knowledgeable, professional and totally committed to customer satisfaction willingly coming back to do touch up if they're not satisfied with an outcome. If you want a stress and hassle free experience, call Natik Painting. You will understand why those of us who had the pleasure to have hired them are so glowing with our reviews.
