Joel helped us finish our basement last June/July, and from there has continued to come back to our house to finish off various other projects. From the very beginning, Joel was professional and knowledgeable. He sent me the first quote for doing some basement finishings (painting, baseboards, drywall work, fireplace mantel, custom shelves, new lighting fixtures, etc.) and when I explained to him that I needed the project to be more economical, he totally understood and came back to me with a new quote. This new quote incorporated ideas to lower the price to get the project done. His work was so well done, we ended up having him install a railing on our deck as well. Joel recently helped finish some odd-job projects that had been on my "would be nice to do" list, like re-caulking a bathtub, hanging a TV, swapping a ugly air vent for a pretty antique one, rehanging a curtain rod, etc. etc. etc. Joel did our basement on a lump sum basis, and for the smaller jobs works on an hourly rate + materials. His pricing is fair and he's a good worker. He's super responsive and will find a time that works to get your project completed. I highly recommend hiring Joel.
