Darby was polite, interested and responsive from the start to the end of the job. He explained anything I asked about, and he even answered his phone early on a Saturday morning. When we had a leak as a result of something that moved in the basement Darby immediately stated that he would take care of it at his expense, no haggling or arguing whatsoever.
Darby was reassuring at all times and his crew worked their butts off. I am very please both with their service and their work. Job was completed on time and on budget. Impressive.

The basement that was in need of waterproofing was bordered by a city laneway and presented many challenges including a constricted workspace and numerous city restrictions and requirements. Darby, Nick and his team met all challenges head on.
The work was done as described with no deviations or surprises. The job site was always cleaned up at the end of each day and safely secured.
The laneway that borders my property is a busy thoroughfare with much pedestrian traffic and the job site became a source of interest and curiosity. The team generously engaged the neighbours' questions and comments. Very much appreciated!

We had our basement lowered by 15 inches with a benched footing, a sump pump and waterproof membrane installed. Darby and his crew did a fantastic job and we could not be happier. The work was done on time and as quoted. Great workmanship, kept us informed of their progress, and they cleaned up the worksite every day. I would gladly recommend them as they are experts on this type of work.

When I called for an estimate, the gentleman I( spoke to was very polite and helpful in setting up both the estimate and the start date for the waterproofing work. The fellows doing the work were also very polite and professional, and the job was completed on time and for a reasonable price.

Mud Monkeys was amazing. From the initial quote through to the guys completing the work. They were fast, professional, curious, and do fantastic work. I would definitely hire Mud Monkeys again to do more work, I mean hopefully I don't need further repairs elsewhere on my foundation, but if I do, i know how to call.

We initially hired Darby and his team to waterproof the leaky rear addition of our Beaches home. We were so pleased with the efficiency and quality of their service that we decided to just keep going and get the entire rest of the foundation done. Darby was always responsive by phone and email, the crew was friendly and kept a clean (as possible) job site, showed up exactly when they said they would, and finished on time. If you have ever had contractors perform any type of work on your home, you know how rare all of that is! A great group and we're happy to recommend them.

I searched a long time for a good underpinning company. I found it with Mud Monkeys. Darby is great and the whole team are always cheerful and do a great job. We had a hard to access basement with no driveway and small windows. Everything was done my hand and was done very clean and efficient. I barely knew these guys doing the job with how tidy the place was each night. I would recommend Darby and his team in a heart beat.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this company. Darby is amazing, every person on the team is a dedicated worker, and what you see really is what you get. From the first phone call to the last cleanup, the team that underpinned our 100+ year old house with only a super skinny sidewalk and one small window for access exceeded every expectation I had. Their attention to detail, their work ethic, and their completely positive attitude with each other made me wish I could hire them for every single renovation need! The team was kind to my young son, taking the time to answer his many questions. They were also conscientious about cleanup and their work was A++ at every step. Serious pride in what they do, and in doing it right, and in attention to detail. Darby came to the rescue when one of our other trades bailed on us, and was always wiling to take the time to speak with us about any questions we had. I have been involved in a number of renovation projects, and I have never seen a team work together in such a cooperative way with such great work ethic. And the work they do is top-notch. You will be glad you hired them, I doubt you could find any team to do it better at any price. I am still amazed that they did it all by hand, and got the entire basement's worth of dirt out one small window. My front garden and trees were not disturbed in the least and I am so glad we did not have to rip out front porch off to get down into the basement. These guys are genuinely concerned about you and about doing their job well. A+++
