Hi Nick,
1) Only 1 year later (June 2022) I noticed many of the 6x6 posts starting to twist and split down the middle.
Please bear in mind I have no control over the type of wood that Micropro Sienna produces, beyond buying or returning it. This is an issue in the industry that is not being addressed and I understand your frustration.
2) Reached out to Dino and asked if he could come by to take a look at the fence posts
The issue with the posts was explained in a June message chat, as I recommended a wood sealer from Home Depot.
3) (Dino had assured me he would return if any issues came up in the future).
I assured you that my warranty covers the fence falling down, not issues with the wood itself. However, I stand by my work and would have come to take a look at the post and fix your neighbours door.
4) His response was that "he was too busy" and refused to come out and see the issue at a later date.
I am busy as I book clients well in advance (2 months in your case), who have expectations about a start and finish date around which they organise their lives, and are not happy if those dates suddenly change. I did not refuse to come by, I was serving customers at the time, and before you made a comment about my character, I was checking my schedule for free time.
5) Ironically enough, when I contacted Dino the year before to obtain a quote he came by the next day!
I came by the next day because that's what we agreed too. I was giving estimates in Mississauga and you were close by.
6) Replacing a fence can be extremely expensive and I suggest finding a company that will stand behind their work after the job is completed.
I did my best to you help out with the price. I gave you a good discount, an improved door design and did the job to your satisfaction and on time. In your previous 10 star review you said it was "in line with the other companies out there" which was unfair, but I didn't say anything as you were very generous in giving me a 10 star review.
I do stand by my work, and I reject your characterisation of me.
Again, all the best to you and your family.
