We are very happy we found TGC to complete our basement renovations.
We called several companies to price us on the project but we had a flood and needed the project done before New Years and none of them promised to do so .
Nick promised us it will be done before New Years and also mentioned that if the project is not done by New Years we would back charge him 350 $ each day.
They worked day and night and on the 28-th we moved our stuff in again.
The work quality was great and very efficient .
Nick has gained our trust and definitely will be our contractor for the future.

We are grateful that the perennial leaking problem between the shingle roof and the sunroom is fixed. In the past, contractors only want to replace the shingles and do not want to touch the leaking problem or the sunroom built by others. For years, when it rains, we saw wet floor, watched wood frame rot and ahd to place buckets to hold the dripping. Finally, I looked up HomeStars and Nick of TorontoGeneralConstruction.com (TGC) answered the call. We worked out a solution to fix the problem. He would extend the existing shingle roof by a couple of feet, replaced the rotten wood board, put in new waterproofing sheets and new shingles for the roof. He removed the old caulking around the sunroom glass panels and re-caulked with high quality material. He built a new dam for the sunroom to hold the slanting glass panels and to guide the snow/ice away from the joints. The work was completed in about 2 weeks and just in time before the snow and cold weather arrived in TGA. Nick thinks the solution will work and we have waited for rainy days to verify it. Now, every time we walk into the sunroom, when it rains or the snow melts, we are surprised but happy because there is no wet floor or a need to put pails to hold the water dripping. Indeed, it’s dry like a desert. It’s so different from the past. Nick also varnished the cedar garage door and the front door. We are quite pleased with his work. He is gentle. His diligence and his work attitude are admirable. He will do and redo the work until he is satisfied that the job is done perfectly. One other surprise is that Nick does not ask for deposit or prepayment before the work starts. We paid when we are satisfied with his work. Had some minor roof damage. Hired Toronto general construction to do the job. Nick fixed everything including extra work needed after the wind storm last month. He was on budget and fixed extra items at no additional cost! Thanks Nick!
