“As part of our home renovations earlier this year, (2019), we decided to hire Father & Sons Custom Railing and Stairs after meeting and assessing many other stair & railing contractors. From our first meeting their professionalism and experience was very apparent. Originally our stairs were carpeted and we had them capped with hardwood. The original oak railing were removed and replaced with iron pickets with a wood railing. ‘Father and Sons’ showed us a selection of step caps, railing and handrails and helped us with our selection based on their experience and photos of past projects. Everything was great, and exactly on time and as promised. When choosing a stain color to match our new hardwood floors, we were given 5 sample stains to select from to help us choose just the right one. I would absolutely recommend their company’s work to others. I would like to praise Father & Sons on the installation of a stair railing in church's front vestibule.
Two points- Their craftsmanship was remarkable. the new railing blended with our existing 100 year old railing both in colour and style. the congregation was very please the the result.
After soliciting quotes from several other companies (with no results), I was pleased with how well Father and Sons communicated with me, especially for a smaller job. They did what they said they would do, and when they said they would do it. Communication during this process was excellent. Very pleasant men with which to deal. I will be recommending this company to everyone.

Father & sons was very flexible, accommodating and patient with our needs and throughout the process.
As seen in the before photos my stairs needed a major update. They creaked, they were worn and banged up, and the railing/spindles were falling apart.
Father and sons worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted, from custom creating a bunch of stain colours to match our existing flooring, to custom designing the posts, and even working with our last minute design change of the bottom 2 stairs to fit our vision.
They even threw in a shelf for the front hallway to match.
We are so thrilled with the way they turned out. They make our main floor and upstairs look so modern and polished.
Months after the job was complete they even checked in to make sure we were still satisfied.
You can trust they will do a fabulous job for your project. They are great people that do great work.
