My wife and I recently purchased our home, which required a number of renovations, including the kitchen, sunroom, basement (and bathroom) and various other items around the house.
We can't recommend Nick and Dimitri enough. Throughout the renovation they were professional, courteous and always had great suggestions- there was no problem they couldn't fix. They came on time and stayed late when necessary to get the job done. Their prices were very reasonable and fair.
UPDATE 2022. Unfortunately, I must update this review to 0 stars, for a number of reasons. After a positive experience with Rotari Construction originally, the Company has changed. We purchased a new home since, and asked for Rotari to come and quote for new renovation.
When receiving the quote, the Company refused to provide an itemized breakdown of the individual tasks with prices. Rather, they list out the tasks and provide an all inclusive number. As we were unclear as to the eventual scope, we required prices per task so that we could work within budget. After significant effort and argument, we provided the Company with a spreadsheet and asked them to fill it in. They begrudgingly did so. We also explained that certain items may be removed from the quote.
After a few weeks and several conversations where we confirmed we would be using their services, we came back to the Company to finalize the quote. We removed a few items. It was at this point, they indicated that "they were now fully booked". Needless to say, we are now left scrambling to find a new contractor to complete the work.
Aside from this new project, we eventually found issues with the quality of work in our current home, after 2 years- grout cracking between tiles, drywall cracking, paint peeling, etc. Moreover, during the project, while not mentioned in the original review, there were issues with attention to detail. For example, the Company would go ahead and determine the placement/orientation of items without asking for client input (i.e. orientation of tile, placement of plugs, lights, etc.). The backsplash in the kitchen is also sloppily cut, but patched with grout to make it appear clean.
We would not recommend working with this Company.
