Trex costs more and there aren't many people who work with it. Art and Andrew were up front about their prices. We asked for several changes, and they accommodated them professionally and without overcharging for the upgrades, a trick that some contractors use.

The results look excellent. We've been dining on the deck nightly since it was completed. Andrew and Art are dedicated workers who arrived at a regular time each day and worked solidly. We would hire them again.

I cant even begin describing how happy I am with the work Demex Decks just did for us. We called them in early June and secured out spot for building a backyard fence in August ( so call in advance, summer is very busy for them). They started working exactly when promised. Part of my over 30 year old fence blew down from the wind storm. Art and Andrei did a great job to replace entirely with privacy fence using 6 inch posts. Should last another 30 plus years.

We hired Demex Decks to remove a standard builder deck and build a bigger one using composite. Art was very honest and gave great recommendations regarding the new build. Elevated 8 feet high cedar deck floor, cedar railing with pressure treated beams, joists and posts was installed in 2003.

A third of the cedar floor boards were rotting at ends and found out later that the ledger board was rotting. Decided to install Trex Transcend Tiki Torch floor with Lava Rock border and black aluminum railing from http://www.alumarail.com/ that is manufactured to your deck measurements. Advantage of maintenance free without spending 3 days every 3 years to pressure wash, sand and stain.

Art and Andrei from Demex Decks did a high quality job for above plus install replacement ledger boards, joists and two posts (to make deck floor level). An older neighbour with multiple trades stated from his inspection that deck was high quality construction and joked that the deck would out live me in my mid fifties.
