I would 100 percent recommend working with Ben at BBA Architects!!! We had an excellent experience and our permits were issued way ahead of schedule!

We started our project with another architect, but were very disappointed that they weren't listening to our input and were unhappy with the proposed design.

Ben on the other hand was open to our vision, offered guidance that enabled us to create a design within our budget and save more money by avoiding the committee of adjustments.

When we were indecisive and unsure how to proceed Ben was patient and educated us about our options (i.e. things that could be altered once permits were issued vs. what could not). He responded promptly to our many questions and during construction was quick to work with our contractor on issues that arose.

Our situation was a unique situation that brought constant challenges. I kept worrying that we were the worst clients as we came up to some roadblocks that no one anticipated.
Ben, not only successfully went to committee on our behalf, he managed all of our challenges with grace and amazing support. Ben completed all our drawings for a third-floor addition that we are very happy with.

Ben has been a joy to work with, a consummate professional and extremely helpful during our application for a building permit; he was very accommodating and patient in regards to our inexperience with renovations.

While working with Ben to make adjustments to the drawings there was a specific change we decided towards the end that would require the Committee of Adjustments to approve of which would incur additional costs both for his services and to the city; Ben could've easily given the notice of the additional cost requirement, accepted the additional work for minimal extra effort. Instead he chose to also give his own recommendation AGAINST making that last impulsive change as it seemed unnecessary given the cost vs benefits to making that change for our overall project, it was a clear show of his moral ethics and we greatly appreciated it.
