Setting up the system by yourself may sound intimidating, but it was quite easy, thanks to the clear step by step direction given by tech support (Ivan). He was friendly, patient and didnt make any attempt to rush me. The experience of doing it yourself, makes it that much better when everything is done and working well.

Simple installation. They walk you through it by phone. Monitoring us excellent. Camera resolution very good.

I just canceled my security system with another company and purchased the
new system from Think Protection and I am really impressed with the
customer service that I received from them. Their professionalism and

I saw an offer for free shipping and a free camera so I did some research and concluded that it was a great deal. I called and signed up for the Plus package. The confirmation email said I’d get my system within a week, but it didn’t arrive. I did get an email reminding me my installation date had passed so I called but couldn’t get a shipping date. They pushed my activation date back a bit. The package arrived two weeks after I’d ordered, which was fine.
But there was no camera in the box. I called again and was told of a 6- to 8-week backorder for cameras. Nobody had mentioned that when I was checking on my order.
Fed up, I decided to cancel. If this company couldn’t reliably deliver a box of equipment, I didn’t want them taking care of my home security.
The man in the line said someone would call me to arrange for the cancellation in the next day or two. There was no call. What I did get was another delivery, containing the camera. I guess asking for a refund magically cleared their back order situation.
I called AGAIN to cancel and was told that I’d have to ship the gear back to Think Protection at my own expense and then I could get my money back in 7-14 days.
Oh, and when I replied to the email from the sales associate who charged my MasterCard, my message was undelivered because the email address no longer existed.
Spend a little more to hire a company that can keep its promises. It’ll save you so much time and aggravation!

Pro: reasonable up front cost, low monitoring cost, equipment comparable to other systems other than the keypad which is from the 1980s

Cons: when alarm is triggered it is barely audible and have to buy a separate speaker for almost 100 to hear it, keypad is extremely outdated it’s a monochrome display slow to react and loses connection with the main unit which means it doesn’t always disarm, call centre is outsourced not owned by think protection and staff there are extremely rude, app for unit is so badly designed and does not integrate with camera even though it has the icon to do so - which means you have to run two apps on phone to run system, camera app called StreamView is garbage but camera picture is clear, motion sensor on camera is way to sensitive even at lowest setting and gets triggered by wind. Camera usually doesn’t start recording until Person you were trying to capture left the scene, batteries in camera do not last long about three months.

Personal opinion and experience with the Reolink cameras considered my worst purchase ever (HORRIBLE) *** IF I KNEW WHAT I NOW KNOW I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THESE CAMERAS. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO PURCHASE THESE BATTERY OPERATED CAMERAS ***. I spent a lot of money on these cameras only after doing research on the camera as well as receiving the reassurance from Think Protection agents that the cameras were really good and that the battery life was excellent. It is extremely frustrating and upsetting to realize that all my cameras which contain 4 CR123A 3 volt batteries ( GOOD QUALITY BATTERIES ARE NOT CHEAP) had a battery life of less then two months with no viewing of the live video what so ever and no recording at all. This was originally mentioned as the potential reason why the batteries would drain much quicker. Upon speaking to Think Protection agents multiple times the usual response was to view and determine the amount of time used for viewing the live video or the amount of recording time as well as the review of PR sensor settings as well as wifi signal or position of the camera angle. Screen shots were provided and low and behold it was determined that not enough live viewing was done to drain the batteries so quickly. In less then a total of 4 months of usage 72 batteries had to be replaced. Long story short a bunch of scripted information was thrown at me and the only solution to the problem was to upgrade each camera with a wire which requires a manual hole to be created in the back of the camera and once punctured will automatically void the warranty or to simply just start using rechargeable batteries instead. I requested a refund and was told outright that nothing could be done about it. I feel like i was completely ignored and for that reason my final statement stands as i have and will continue to go above and beyond to make sure that anyone and everyone I know does not end up purchasing these cameras from Think Protection
