He had his work cut out for him as the framing in our basement was “pre-done” from the original builder who took very little time to make sure the studs were straight. He completely corrected this and made sure we knew every process along the way.

Chris did a terrific job on the ceilings of our main floor renovation. The popcorn ceilings had previously been painted so the job was not an easy one. He was back several times, worked hard to get the ceilings smooth, tarping up as much as possible to contain the drywall dust. His standards are high and he did more than he quoted on. We will have him back when our renovations move upstairs!

Chris has just completed the taping/finishing of our basement drywall. He has done an excellent job and is very good to work with. He insists on coming back to inspect and touch-up if/where necessary. We will use Chris for any future work and we have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who requires a high standard of finishing.

The Taping Guy rescued us and our new 1265 sq. ft. basement development. Based on the recommendation of one of the framers, I hired someone who was supposed to be an experienced tradesperson to do our drywall, taping and mudding. After two weeks I had major questions about his workmanship. I called Chris, The Taping Guy, based on all the excellent reviews I read on Homestars. Chris hooked me up with a professional drywaller to complete hanging the drywall and rip out the ceiling and hang it correctly. Chris had to undo a lot of substandard taping the other guy had done and spent a total of 52 hours making it right. Chris is very knowledgeable, he came on time, was easy to communicate with and most important he gave me an estimate and stuck to his quote. I highly recommend Chris for your mudding and taping needs.

Chris was extremely professional in everything he did. I had him mud and tape my basement and he did an exceptional job. His attention to detail was fantastic and little things like sending me a message when he was on his way over made for a great experience.

What he quoted, is what the cost of the project ended up being. No hidden or extra charges and he explained his process for giving a quote. He completed the work ahead of his estimated schedule which was also fantastic.

He also interacted extremely well with my curious toddler who wanted to see what he was up to and how he was doing it.

I hired The taping guy to do the work in an apartment that was being renovated in order to rent. The first step was doing the drywall repairs which were extensive due to water damage around windows and in the bathroom. Chris did all these repairs very well, showed up exactly when he said he would and did everything in a professional way. We painted the apartment afterwards and it made a big difference in the finish product by hiring a pro. I would not hesitate to recommend.
