Load Bearing Wall Removal

I had contracted Leuri and his team to remove a load bearing wall in my home and install a steel beam supported by 2 steel posts. In addition, they removed an old wood burning fireplace that was taking up a lot of space in the living room corner. I can only say great things about this company - great communication, punctuality, attention to detail, and workmanship. The whole process took only few days, including the visit by the city inspector, who was also happy and approved the work done.

Steel Beam & Post Install

I had a contractor never show up after eight weeks, and found Leuri on Homestars. He responded quickly, came out for an estimate, and luckily he had an opening in his chedule to fit my job in. He communicated well, and worked late to help me with my timeline (as I had a door install coming in the next day). He also brought someone in to help with brick work. He did everything I could ask for. He’s a complete professional. 6 stars.

Removal of Load Baring Walls

Leuri was such a pleasure to work with. We had a couple of walls removed and a few things that needed to be framed around our new home (i.e: Load barring wall removal, moving bathroom wall, moving door, putting in a shampoo box in the shower etc). He was very knowledgeable and experienced, and works with a great team that made the process stress-free to our family. This company was referred to us by a co worker that praised the work Leuri had done in his home, and he did not disappoint in ours. We would highly recommend this company for small or large jobs. He explains the process clearly and his price is very fair.

The best decision I ever made

I found Leuri through home stars reviews and I was not disappointed at all, he lived up to every compliment on the site. From the first call he was able to talk as long as needed without rushing me about my project and sharing his knowledge about the project as well as other questions I had and I knew right away he was the right person for the job. He stayed consistent when he came for the quote as well right until the end of the job. He showed up when he said he would, he completed when he said he would, he was a pleasure to talk to, he provided me contacts for other jobs I had going on which all ended up being solid people as well. He provided advice and guidance about other things he saw other contractors doing in the house while he was there, not in a criticizing way but looking out for me so I could get things done properly for my own good. I have been involved with many contractors as we totally gutted and renovated this house and Leuri is the most honest, easy to talk to, patient, knowledgeable, get the job done guy I have met so far. He surrounds himself with good guys as well, when we were around and curious Jared always took the time to explain what he was doing as we were fascinated and Andy as well was right down to work, get in, get out. The best part, Leuri ended up saving money on his end and passed the savings on to me, yes you read that right, he also was able to widen another room for me quite easily, so did it no charge. You are in good hands with Leuri, if you are considering, pick up the phone and book the job right now, you will not regret it. Almost forgot, The city had some concerns with the engineers drawings, and Leuri sorted it out with the Engineer and the city on my behalf and we got the all clear. I cannot say enough good things here.

Removal of a Load Bearing Wall and Exterior Wall

Rebuild the Planet came highly recommended to me from my structural Engineer. Leuri was very prompt on providing an estimate which was detailed and accurate. From the start to the end of the project I was kept fully informed of the progress and he was always accessible. When unexpected challenges arose I felt Leuri went above and beyond to coordinate with my other contractors to resolve the issue in a prompt manner.

Lastly, I found him and his entire crew extremely professional and courteous! Needless to say, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rebuild the Planet!

Removal of load bearing walls

We wanted to create a more open concept main level, which included removing a load bearing wall in the kitchen/dining room, as well as another small wall (which was not expected to be load bearing). When the small wall ended up to also be load bearing, Leuri was able to provide a structural solution to allow this wall to be removed (he also consulted with a structural engineer to confirm). We had complete confidence with Leuri and his team. They were professional, provided updates throughout the process and even came in under the quoted price. I would not hesitate to recommend Leuri and his team for any other projects! We are very happy with the work Leuri and his team did for us.

I love the layout of your home, very unique. What you've done by opening up the space between the kitchen and dining rooms only improves the flow. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Removal of two Load Bearing Walls

Rebuild The Planet was, from the very beginning, the best decision I've made when it came to renovating my home! I had consulted with Leuri initially and he provided me with a contact for a structural engineer (YCL
Structural Designs) he works with. After the engineering reports came through, the process from scheduling Leuri and his team was seamless - from the quoting process, to the work performed, and the cleanup. I am very impressed with his team, and his diligence to do great work and be very professional the entire time. I have already recommended Leuri to my neighbors and family who are also in the market to renovate, and I would not hesitate to use Rebuild The Planet again. They provide a worry free service, with peace of mind - at the end of the day, my loved ones are safe and secure knowing that Leuri and his crew are the best at what they do. I very sincerely highly recommend Rebuild The Planet, as I will look forward to working with this company once again in the future.

Framing / Carpentry

I hired Leuri to frame my 2 story addition and install the required LVL beams. From start to finish Leuri was a true pro. He provided updates on a regular basis and when issues arose he always had a recommended approach or options to consider. On several occasions Leuri went above and beyond to ensure my addition was properly constructed and completed on time. He truly had my best interests in mind which I really appreciate. I was also impressed that many of the other trades (siding & roofer) were complimentary of Leuri's work. I highly recommend Rebuild the Planet and I am looking forward to getting Leuri back to frame my basement.

Can't wait to come back and see the completed addition. Excellent idea to add the two storey addition on the rear of your home. The new space compliments the existing structure perfectly. It was great and easy working with you on your project. Thanks so much.

Load bearing wall removal and front entrance rebuild.

First I have to apologize to Leuri and the guys at Rebuild the Planet, they have done two different jobs for me, one over two years ago and I have not written a review until now. The first job was to remove a load bearing wall separating my kitchen and living room. This entailed installing a huge LVL beam over 22' feet long in the ceiling and one over 11' long in the floor to support it without putting a post in the middle of the room in the basement. So not the simplest job. Also, it should be said that I do all of my own work other than structure, plumbing and electric and I am supper picky about who works on my house and HOW they do it. The team at Rebuild the Planet never batted and eye over any of my requests or questions and even surpassed my expectations with regards to quality and speed of work. Leuri is also excellent at giving design ideas and was super responsive to a couple of tiny issues that the inspector brought up and fixed them the same day. The second job they did for me was to tear down and rebuild an old extension on the front of my house that was never done properly the first time and was drafty and starting to rot. We redesigned it and Rebuild the Planet made it happen, we are super happy about how it turned out. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for excellent workmanship at a fair price. Thanks guys.

Your "Open Concept" design turned out amazing and the addition on the front entrance looks like it was meant to be there. Well done!

Removal of a bearing wall and installation of a steel beam.

We wanted to remove a bearing wall in the basement of our bungalow, but we could not decide which type and length of a beam should be installed. We were lucky to find Rebuild The Planet on Homestars. The reviews were great and we noticed that people said that Larry, the manager, gives very good advice. We contacted the company and started to plan the work. Our options were one 10ft LVL, one 10ftLVL and one 11ft LVL, or a steel beam of 19, 21 or 24 ft. The choice was dependent on cost, future layout and having a post in the middle of the basement or not. Larry presented us with all those options, told us about estimated price and benefits and drawbacks of each option. He visited us twice and we had quite a few conversations and e-mails. We decided to go with a24ft steel beam and no posts. Larry scheduled the works in a very short time. His crew was at the site on time, they all did perfect job. Larry helped us with advice and with inspections. In several days, our new beam was installed and the site was left clean. Larry and his team were very professional, the work was done to perfection and we really did not have to do anything except to schedule the inspections when Larry notified us that the work was complete.
I will recommend Rebuild The Planet to anyone who requires structural work.

Your Steel Beam install was one of the heaviest I'v installed to date. It was a logistical challenge to get it into the basement, but getting the job done for you was our priority. We are glad that you're satisfied with the results. Hope to see the final product soon.
