We got in touch with Maritime West Construction through Home Depot. Rob Clerk and his crew is very easy to work with and handle this job professionally and in a timely manner. They built us a beautiful deck and we are very pleased with it.

Home Depot had put me in touch with Maritime West Construction. Robert and his crew replaced the 7 year old Trex (which was disintegrating) on my deck with new Trex . In the process, it was discovered that the wooden support trusses were rotten in many places and would also need to be replaced. Robert and his crew were wonderful! When he did the estimate, he informed me that the old Trex was still under warranty and gave me the phone number and website info so I could contact them to put in a claim. Within days, Trex had phoned me back and approved the claim. The very next day, Robert had the new materiel delivered and by 6pm, had built me a beautiful new deck! It was a very warm day and Robert and his crew laboured under the hot sun to finish the deck in one day, so I could enjoy it on the upcoming long weekend. I have a brand new deck and it looks great!! Robert the owner responded to my phone enquiry immediately and scheduled a visit within 24 hours to scope out an estimate for building a new deck. ( I found him on the TREX website , where he is very highly rated for installing that product) We were pleased with the quote and then realized that Robert could be the "general contractor" for additional work as he has sub-trades for everything we needed. This included fixing exterior stucco, a complete paint job on the outside of the house, two new garage doors with all new motors, new exterior lights installed and a handful of odds and ends handy man jobs around the house. Despite rain that slowed down the painting, everything was completed within 9 work days, one week ahead of schedule. The workmanship was excellent and on top of it , all the workers were very pleasant and nice to deal with. We plan to have Robert and his team back in a couple of months to upgrade the interior of our garage. Robert is a pleasure to deal with and we would highly recommend him.
We were pleasantly surprised when they were able to start the job one week early and even more pleased when all the sub-trades showed up on schedule.

We called Maritime West Construction and the owner Robert contacted us for an estimate on replacing and expanding our 15 yr old rotting wooden deck with composite boards that will last a lot longer. I also wanted black metal railings.

All our neighbors have commented very positively on our new deck, and those who soon will need new decks themselves, have asked me for the name of this company.

We were more than happy with the price he quoted and it was very accurate..

We liked the owner immediately and felt good about his whole crew when they were working on our home.

Rob gave us great suggestions that we would never have thought of ourselves, while still giving us exactly what we wanted.

Yikes! Smooth talking salesman (Rob) promised a lot but didn't deliver. Cracked boards, crooked boards, splintered boards after only 2 weeks, holes on both sides of boards as the privacy walls had to be taken down and put back up, instability of privacy wall due to lack of support posts, screws sticking out, large gaps in privacy wall, late more than once, did not show up other times, left site day of the build even though we were told he'd be here, charged wrong credit card, and he showed up late the day of our son's birthday party to fix the privacy wall and left it with huge gaps and screws sticking out of the boards!

From our very first meeting we found Robert to be prompt and professional and that was maintained though-out the entire process – from start to finish, with him and with his crew. He listened to exactly what we where looking for and advised us of all our options and made the choices clear and easy to work with. From the tear down of my old deck to the construction of the new one, the whole process was done in less than a week and my yard was kept tidy and put back just the way it was found, in a clean and orderly state. The quality of materials and workmanship is just top notch, right down to the smallest detail.
Our back yard has been completely revitalized and we are thrilled beyond belief with the new deck. Although I have no intentions on selling my house, I know the re-sale value has also appreciated with the update. I have had many compliments on it from my friends, family and neighbors.
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Robert and his company. We will recommend Maritime West Construction Inc, to anyone who is looking to build a new deck.

Robert and his crew were awesome. They quoted us a price and stuck with it. They promised to remove our deck and replace it with a composite wood and aluminum railing deck within two days and kept their word. They gave us a few days to live with the deck and then came back to inspect it and ensure it was perfect. In the meantime they did not charge anything on our credit card until we signed-off. I would highly recommend this company to others.
