Kevco Landscapes

We went through many researches and quotes from different companies on our Landscape project which includes driveway Interlock, front and back landscape renovation, backyard deck, planting and lightings. Based on HomeStars reviews and two in-person meetings with Kevin, we finally chose Kevco. Kevin patiently explained the project and gave us his valuable opinion with his expertise and experience.

Kevco send us a detail estimate Scope of Service and drawings prior we commit on the deposit. There were no budget surprises throughout the project. Demolition, Deck Build, Front Pavers (walkway, patio and driveway), Garden Beds, Planting, New Lawn (front and back) and Landscape Lightings were all written in detailed description contract.

We had the dates confirmed with Kevco three months prior project starts. Eventually the project date started on time as promised. Kevin keep us inform the progress during the 7 construction days. A team of 6-8 staff starts from 8am till 6pm. They were all polite and friendly.

The quality and attention to detail were seen throughout the project. As you can see in the picture, there were no skipping steps on each layer of base applied prior the paver stones installed. The deck was also build on a solid foundation preparation.

The Interlock, front yard, backyard and deck were completely constructed with our full satisfaction. There were minor stone imperfections after the completion but Kevin send his staff back the next morning to repair.

We highly recommend Kevco for those of you who want honest and trustworthy landscape company for their project.

My backyard has been transformed by KevCo Landscapes. The space is functional and beautiful now. The crew worked diligently thought out hot summer days and were always courteous. The job site was left tidy and all small fixes were taken care of. There weren’t any surprise costs that popped up at the end of the project. I was always kept in the loop as the project developed. I’m so happy that I made the decision to do this renovation and that KevCo Landscaping did such an great job. (The only photo I have without snow was one taken in progress.)

Our new driveway and walkway are beautiful. Stone work was exceptional. A large team arrived and most work was done in 3 days. There were issues with getting materials during this challenging year (2020) and the project got delayed 3 or 4 times as a result. In the end, Kevin found a stone that was available and the work was completed prior to the colder temperatures setting in.

They were there when they said they would be. They called to follow-up prior to each appointment for estimate, pre-survey and to deliver material and equipment. As the deadline got closer more workers arrived to ensure it was not missed. Every member of the Team (11 at one point) were courteous, friendly and busy.
Our neighbours have three young children and a dog and with access required to their yard there was lots of interaction. My neighbour could not help but comment that he couldn't believe how everyone on the crew was so good with his kids and dog.
The workmanship was beyond our expectations and the quality of the finished project is incredible. Again, follow-up to ensure we were happy came not only before they left the site but a few days later and then a few weeks later.
No surprises with the billing. Exactly as quoted.

Kevin's team at Kevco did a great job on our driveway and walkway. Kevin had done work on our property previously as part of subcontracted work during a renovation project so we knew the quality of work that we could expect. Kevin was always professional and worked with us to achieve what we were looking for. With the COVID lockdown, Kevin kept us updated as to when the work would be scheduled. Work was done in the agreed upon time frame. Kevin was around to provide adequate oversight while the work was in progress. There were a few bumps along the road (which can often happen) but Kevin was responsive in helping to get things resolved to our satisfaction. We have received many comments from neighbours and passersby about how great the driveway looks! Would highly recommend!
Adding a follow-up to my earlier review:
We had a few driveway stones that after the winter became damaged. Kevin came and repaired the stones under warranty without any hassle at all. This is a company that stands behind their work which in this day and age are few and far between! You can't go wrong with Kevco!

Kevin and company did top notch work, were extremely easy to deal with and finished a pretty large job in short order. Staff were friendly, uniformed and on time. Every question we had was answered in short order. Every detail including the final clean up were top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend Kevco to anyone looking for top quality work they will never have to worry about. They also have an excellent warranty.

So relieved that Kevin replied to our HomeStars search. We did not have a glamorous job to get done, only odd repairs to stone steps, retaining wall, tree pruning and a stump removal. He was so kind to quote on it and through his changing schedule and approaching winter temperatures, he was considerate enough to keep in touch and worked at fitting in our job, leaving the place cleaner than he found it. Kevin came highly recommended to us, and we didn’t regret a minute of it. His work ethic is excellent, his job is perfect, and his crew is polite and kind. We ended up with a beautiful front and back yard. Kevin helped plan and execute all of it - fencing, decking, driveway, stonework and landscaping. If you can get him (they’re very busy) you’ll be very happy. And if you have to wait a bit for their services, do it!
