I took a leap of faith and hired True North Landscaping simply from researching the web. I couldn't have made a better choice. Our backyard in North Van was a mess: weeds, mud, overgrown bramble, bamboo. Emilio met us and helped shape our vision. The result was beautiful - scalloped gardens, gorgeous grass, and a huge stone patio - an oasis! Emilio and his crew are so thoughtful - a true pleasure. And, Emilio is the most wonderful, honest, kind, conscientious person - not to mention a talented landscaper. Thank you Emilio!

We hired True North to build a cedar fence on our side yard. This fence would give us more privacy from the street traffic. True North suggested that a 4 foot fence would be best, so that the neighbour’s driveway sight-line to the street would not be blocked. The fence was built using cedar planks that were placed horizontally from the posts and slatted about ½ inch. The fence is well constructed, attractive, does not obstruct the neighbour’s driveway, and gives us privacy from the street traffic. We are extremely happy with the project and the results. It was finished in one day and the cost was very reasonable.

Emilio and his team have done two projects for us, a fence and a paving-stone patio. In both cases the work was done on or ahead of schedule, well within the estimated budget, and of top quality.

Emilio and his team were very professional and friendly, during the estimation and planning process and while the work was underway. We have recommended him to many of our neighbors, and all who have worked with True North have also been very satisfied.

Our old lawn was weedy and looked terrible. Emilio and his guys took out the old lawn and a dead tree, and then we put in a drainage and irrigation system. He then put in a nice curved pathway and some other walking stones. He got us a new fence, put down fresh soil and turf, and some new trees. He basically completely redid the exterior of our house.

We have dealt with many contractors throughout our renovations, and Emilio stood out as one of the best ones. Throughout the process we found him professional, reliable, and with high standards. His pricing was reasonable and the value was very good. We recommend Emilio to anyone with a similar project.

We decided to update our front and back yard in early 2015. We hired a friend who was a landscape designer to come up with a design. When we asked him for a quote to actually do the work we were astounded by the price so we went out and got two more quotes. Emilio's quote had the best price and was also the most thorough. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and provided an accurate quote. Throughout the summer of 2015 Emilio and his team worked diligently on our reno through some seriously hot days! He was open to changes as we went along and provided regular updates on progress and budget. We really enjoyed working with Emilio and his team and would not hesitate to hire them again.

We contacted Emilio in late May 2015 to get a quote for a complete refacing of the entire property, re-design of the front yard, prep side portion of the house for basketball / street hockey, prep area for vegetable beds, new fence with retaining wall, re levelling of rear yard with new sod. Emilio was really easy to deal with, provided a quote in short order that both myself and my wife believed to be fair which resulted in us not feeling like we needed to reach out and get a second quote. Emilio provided an estimated start date for the job based on his current commitments and he delivered on that date. Once the project started he was completely flexible and accommodating to changing on the fly as we made a few adjustments during the project. We are really pleased with the end result and after the job was complete we had plenty of compliments made by not only friends but strangers who happen to walk past the property.
