Haystack Home Inspections

Chris conducted a thorough inspection of the new home we wished to purchase. As he worked, he took the time to explain the issues he was finding and answered our questions. He noticed a number of things that we would have missed. Even though this was a new home, I’m glad we contracted with Haystack to inspect the house. Chris provided us with an immediate list of deficiencies and sent a full typed report with photos the next morning. The report was very helpful when we met with the developer the next day to review deficiencies.

Unlike some of the reviewers here who relied on their realtor's recommendation to hire a home inspection company, I decided this time to find one myself. I have contacted half a dozen inspectors including two I have used in the past. During our initial conversation Chris of Haystack Home Inspections stood out from the rest thanks to his friendly telephone manner, professional knowledge, and readiness to accomodate our time frame and certain specific requirements. On the day of inspection Chris gave me a brief yet comprehensive summary of his most important findings and later the same night sent me a clear detailed report with a lot of pictures taken in the process of inspection to illustrate the text. Unlike the other inspectors I hired in the past, Chris then followed up with me to see if there are any items in his report requiring further clarification or explanation. Haystack's price was not in the lower part of price range among other quotes I received (albeit frankly the prices did not vary too much) , I do not regret spending a little extra money considering a lot of extra value received. Recommend wholeheartedly.

I had an Inspection on an Island and we have some time limitations, he responded and worked within the time we agreed upon, He Didnt mind me shadowing him so I could get a better handle into the changes and the priority of the changes i should make into our new bought property. I do highly recommend him for any home inspection.

Chris was recommended to us by our relator. He was able to complete the home inspection within a couple days after we contacted him. We feel like he did a very thorough job and we were very happy with his report, which included photos and detailed descriptions of each item included in his inspection. I especially liked how he included a rating system in his report to give you an idea of which items would require fixing immediately and which ones could be repaired eventually.
