Ryan provided pros/cons for a few options of material so we understand what we are paying for. Then, he came to my house to measure my backyard and did a detail drawing as part of the contract. As we signed the contract, he took down our old deck and build a new deck within a month. I m super happy with the experience.

It took a while for me to get a hold of Ryan to look at our decking needs. Ryan and his teams are so good at what they do. It literally took them one day to take care of our deck. All debris and anything else was cleaned up before the team left for the dy. The decks looks great and the kids love it already.

I am totally impressed with Ryan and his crew! He built a large composite deck and customized a smaller one for our soon to be delivered swim spa. Ryan was very prompt to reply during the entire process, starting from the initial contact through conversations on what to do with the hot tub or window wells, and leading to the job itself.

Materials were hard to source during COVID, yet Ryan was able to complete our job earlier than what he had originally thought. When materials were delivered without pre-warning, Ryan was quick to respond and try to rectify with the source.

Our deck turned out beautifully and adds such a nice touch, especially when we want to be enjoying our house more, especially the outdoors.

We met Ryan in September 2019 and instantly liked him for his courteous, professional demeanour. Unfortunately, by the time we figured out exactly what we wanted for our new deck, Ryan was already booked for the year. We are quite indecisive and takes us long time to find the right person for any renovation project. After a number of quotes, we have searched HomeStars and decided to reach out to Golden Valley Deck based on other reviews. Ryan replied back the same day with a quote. When we met, he consulted us on making some corrections to our design and, as we see now, he was right on every single suggestion. It was important to us to start the project as soon as possible and Ryan made it happen earlier than agreed to on paper. The entire build took 5 days only (no breaks, no disappearing as we often hear about, but steady progress and timely completion). It took some time for our hot tub to arrive (see pictures). When it was placed on the base, we asked Ryan to come back to a small adjustment to ensure transition from deck to the hot tub is seamless. He came just an hour after our call.
