Simon at SB was a pleasure to deal with, along with his guys Matt and Alex. Simon followed up when he said he would and his guys showed up on time each day and communicated all through the job to make sure we were happy and if they had any questions. Simon and his guys were also very helpful to help us choose what style and colour to go with on the posts and rails and worked hard to ensure our stain was matched as best as possible on the rails.
Not only were the guys super professional, they were super clean, and tidy and beyond meticulous, and so careful to not make a mess too much. Due to Covid we are both working from home and they made every effort to cause as little disruption as possible.

If I had more stairs to fix up I would hire them again, perhaps at our next house.

Simon was great to work with and very flexible in scheduling since we had 4 kids to relocate during the work. Mat and team were incredible with the work done. Everything is perfect, site cleaned up every day, attention to every little detail. Asked for a custom border around tile at front and super happy with how it turned out. A week before the job started changed our minds to also do all baseboard through house and somehow it only impacted the timeline by a day.

SB Hardwood upgraded our oak staircase and did a phenomenal job. Right from the very beginning Simon and his crew were professional, experienced, polite and tidy and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product and their workmanship. We were looking for someone to install hardwood flooring on the whole upper floor. I attempted it myself and found it backbreaking work when I did the lower level. So when we decided to do upstairs I was all for getting a contractor. Looking for a good contractor is always difficult. We heard from a neighbour about Simon, and the quality work he had done. His quote was excellent and they even moved all furniture and put it back in place. What I was most impressed about being an electrician myself, is how tidy and meticulous he kept the work site. At the end of the day things were vacuumed and garage and driveway swept. This says a lot, and his work proved it as well. They also sanded and restrained our stairway. Again I was amazed with how little dust and disruption to our lives. He draped off areas and the dust was minor. The finished product was amazing. Thank you Simon and crew for such a great job. So much so 3 other neighbours have contracted him as well.
