It was my first project as a contractor and I needed a structural engineer for the underpinning work. I needed somebody who knew his or her stuff inside out, who was very experienced in all the building code regulations, and the building inspection process, and of course someone whose pricing was super competitive...

After searching around for structural engineers to help with opening up a load-bearing wall, I decided to hire Rigid Frame. The first time I met Arvind and Pehzman, I knew I made the right choice. A load bearing post and beam had been removed from under our stairs which resulted in the stairs starting to lean. Pezhman & Arvin from Rigid Frame came to do an assessment and brainstormed solutions to minimize cost and maximize function. They completed the drawings for a new footing, post and beam within 2 weeks and we received the building permit from the City of Toronto within 1 business day of submitting our application. Great to work with all around!

During what was supposed to be a simple basement reno, we discovered that one of our foundation walls was bowing. The options to reinforce the wall were complicated by the heating and AC ducting and electrical panel against the wall. After a poor experience with another structural engineer, we contacted Arvin to perform and initial site visit. He clearly explained to us our options, and was able to draw up a customized wall design that worked around all the ducting. We found a contractor to build the wall and Arvin inspected the progress at various stages. There were several complications during the construction that required Arvin's input, and we really appreciated that Arvin always made himself available for our phone calls and queries - sometimes several times a day. He was always very patient and took the time to provide detailed responses to our questions either by phone or email. We would recommend Arvin's services and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

I have to rebuild a deck and porch on my property that is old and requires replacement. Pezhman was very professional and thorough in designing the plans for this project. He directly dealt with the City of Toronto in filling out all forms, applications etc needed to obtain the necessary permits to proceed with this project. In addition he did site visits, even speaking with the neighbours about this project as it is a semi-detached property. Would definitely recommend Pezhman and Rigid Frame Structural engineers, and I'm looking forward to working with him in the future.

Pezhman and Arvin came by my house to look at a section of my floor that was sloping. They were professional, upfront about their fees, and honest (ie. they're not overselling you on services not required). I was very pleased with their service. I would definitely refer them and use them again.
