Their quote was comparable to others, however what was impressive is the affiliations and connections deTaeye has within the industry, such as Durham region homebuilders association, RenoMark, Ontario homebuilders, and BILD to name a few.
From the drawings and permits the layout and actual build, Shawn and the fellas did an outstanding job. We were kept up to date along the way and updated on budget, timing, and overall progress.

I hired De Taeye Designs to turn an unfinished basement into bedroom with a bathroom concept. They completed the drywall, flooring, and trim in the bedroom. As well as the fixtures, tile work and framing/drywall for the bathroom. They worked efficiently and productively to complete the project on time and budget. I was very impressed with the dynamic of the hardworking team and how easily they answered any questions or concerns that I had.

Awesome job by Shaun and his team. We had some cracks in our foundation and one that was leaking. Shaun was extremely knowledgeable and quickly assessed and explained what needed to be done. The repairs were expertly completed and work area cleaned up (as one needed outside dig) just like new. We would certainly recommend Shawn and his team for basement waterproofing again!! After 18 years of rain beating against the east wall of our home, the integrity around the basement window gave, and it started to leak. Fortunately, it was a non-finished basement, and we were able to see the water clearly running down the inside wall. Shawn, from De Taeye Designs, came out quickly to assess the leak. He was thorough, very friendly and quite knowledgeable. This immediately put our minds at ease. We opted for a window well, which was properly dug to the weeping tiles for maximum drainage. The window was taken out, checked and cleaned, and the foundation stone was waterproofed. De Taeye got the job done in one day. His work assistant was courteous and very professional. As there were other issues looming in our foundation, Shawn brought in a masonry expert to assess the rest of the cracks, shifts and misalignments. Over all... we were extremely pleased with the work... the work ethic... the friendliness... and the follow-up. We feel Shawn went over and above to make sure we were happy with the repair and that it was done properly.

After a hard rainfall and a cold snap we found a crack in the foundation of our house that we had just sold. We needed the crack sealed and were on a huge time crunch. I explained the situation to Sean when I called De Taeye Designs and was told it was something he could definitely do and was able to accommodate our crazy schedule. Sean was able to come assess the situation and give me a timeline on what was expected for the repair and a life time guarantee for the work that we are able to transfer over to the new home owners. Sean completed his work fast, efficiently and on time. I was very pleased with his work and his price. Discovered a 1/2 inch by 3 foot crack in foundation. Contacted Shawn. Prompt, knowledgeable and courteous service! Fixed in 2 days with a lifetime transferable warranty. Would highly recommend Shawn and his crew for their experience/knowledge for any home repairs or renovations!

Shawn was called to look at an exploding tap in a rental unit. The call was made by my tenant and I had no idea who Shawn was or what his qualifications were. He showed up on a Sunday evening within an hour (and he lives about an hour away), figured out the problem, called me the next day to say what needed to be fixed. He explained his background and how the company is accredited with BILD and RenoMark and how they have various licensed trades people for a wide range of jobs. I'm very happy (as well as the tenants) that the issue was resolved so quickly and I won't hesitate to use de Taeye Designs for any kind of job.
