This company was recommended by a friend when we needed an electrician to help with some fan installations. They were professional, courteous and even helped improve our situation with a new wall switch (for free!). They were great and I would highly recommend them again.

I contacted them because our baseboard heaters stopped working. John came the next day , he was polite , friendly and fixed it in no time!
He gave me some good advice and answered my questions.

I found these guys here on Homestars and booked them to install a new line for a new dishwasher. The work was completed quickly and they cleaned up well after themselves, while keeping me informed of what was going on. They also answered some miscellaneous questions I had about unrelated wiring.

We were looking for an electrician to install a light fixture in our front foyer high 20 feet ceiling. FOS electric was selected from all the quotes we received. I needed to have a 44" ceiling fan installed on an 18 ft high ceiling. I had received several quotes before finding John through Jiffy on Demand. John asked for pics to assess the job and was the only one that mentioned the need to have a "heavy duty ceiling box", to anchor the fan. He provided all the costs up front (including additional costs if a proper ceiling box was required). He was punctual (even 10 mins early), professional and personable! The job ended up coming in well under the quotes received...here's why: He confirmed the proper ceiling box was in place (extra time and costs avoided), he made it look easy getting up on that 15ft tall ladder (avoided costs of scaffolding), he was able to do the job without really using the apprentice he brought along (avoiding the costs of a 2-man job) and he was able to do it within the 2 hrs (avoiding additional time charge). John even provided suggestions on fan usage and some other lighting issues I had. Needless to say, I will be using him again very soon! Thank you John... you made my day!

I recently used John and his company to upgrade our home service to 200amps. We had a problem with a dryer vent booster fan which would not turn off. John from Fos Electric was immediately able to tell me what was causing the problem and he arranged a date to come and fix the problem. John is a very courteous man and my husband and I were happy to have him in our condo.
